Food was really good. Had the Log Jammers, and the dogwood burger. Burger was a good size, fresh toppings, yolky egg, and the ham was just salty enough to cut through. They cooked my burger perfectly! Wish they had the Porter on tap I wanted, but there is always next time! Staff was chill and laid back. They got a little busy, but COVID19 and understanding about staffing. Still took very good care of me. Not a shabby bar, more upscale and refined. Definitely not for the rough and rowdy bar crowds, which is fine by me...N. Durham needed a classy place.

Friendly staff, great food, nice atmosphere! Me and four friends met at Dogwood for the first time tonight. We all agreed that the food was excellent. Grilled salmon cooked perfectly, mouth-watering ribs, wonderful garlic green beans and sweet potato fries with honey. All around pleasant experience!

Nice place to get local pulled pork bbq. We also tried the special dish of the night and chicken quesadillas. The service was good, staff were friendly and attentive to our requests. They kept the place open a little longer so we could finish our meal. I would go back here for sure and recommend it.

If you are Zen, you will love this clean and peaceful atmosphere...Its so ying/yang, I could live there. The appetizer portions were more than expected and the prices are very affordable. I was there for a quick celebratory drink with my bff and we instantly became comfortable. The waiter let us order after closing and didn't rush us to leave. The only bad part is that I left my nachos. I can't believe I drive by here everyday and didn't know it was there. See you soon (especially on football nights).

Food was terrible. I ordered a chicken dish and it tasted like it was put in the Microwave way....to long. They had very few selections of wine and I was told I should go to there other restaurant if I wanted a better wine selection!! Who says that???

So, I've have waited over 20 years for a place to eat in Northern Durham that wasn't fat, greasy fast food. Prices $$-$$$. The decor is modern but comfortable... almost feels like a beach restaurant with high back, wooden bench seats and a few tables. Didnt drink, but I eye-balled Iocally brewed beer and some top shelf favorites. I tried them today for lunch and later for dinner. For lunch, I ordered a cold Turkey sandwich. It came out hot, but that was okay...it was soooooo good!! It was served on toasted ciabatta bread with lettuce, tomato, onion and tasty turkey. I ordered takeout. The waiter brought out a glass of ice water as I waited and checked back to update me on my meal. He was very friendly and was very helpful. The wait was not bad at all. For dinner, I had a tender half rack of ribs, mac and cheese and string beans. My ribs were tender and the spicy moonshine sauce is delicious! The mac and cheese was okay...it is the kind with cheese sauce but its topped with cheese to give it an at-home taste. The string beans were a little undercooked...but that might be someone else's preference. My husband had carrot puree soup and salad as a vegetarian option. There are no vegetarian specific dishes or burgers but there are individual meatless options. I will return based on friendliness and effort...effort by new waitresses and waiters to learn and serve and the effort of trainers and supervisors to accommodate patrons and teach young employess with a smile. Suggestions: hush puppies or bread while you wait and better crackers than saltines for soup and salads.

My husband ordered a hamburger and I ordered the fish sandwich. They were cooked to perfection! We had the nicest waitress. She met all of our needs and kept our glasses full. The place was clean, had nice bathrooms. It was so nice to be able to eat inside again. One of the best places to eat in North Durham. A little pricey, but worth it.
