Porchetta

Never have I ever had Porchetta ever in my life. Yes,, I know what it is... my mouth salivated profusely when I watched Anthony Bourdain's episode on Rome. So, with that being said, my taste buds pointed me to the direction of the Porchetta plate. My food arrives, I dig in and it's actually very good. I mean, I've never really had proper Porchetta, so this is more than likely will be my measuring stick. The pork was moist and tender, it had great flavor and was very well seasoned. Accompanied by rosemary potatoes, slaw and pickled veg. All three sides were really good and they complemented the dish very well. Anyways, I heard this joint began as a food truck. Now it's got a spot at the mall. Which is a really nice sight to see aside from all the basic Chinese food joint everybody else was lining up on. Thanks Porchetta for a wonderful lunch experience. I went here last Sunday and ordered the original sandwich with coleslaw. The pork was flavorless, the mustard overpowered every other already obscure flavor in the sandwich. Their coleslaw was also very disappointing, the veggies weren't diced they were just sliced and the cream was bland. I will admit that my mouth was watering at the sight of my meal, but when I took a bite I felt nothing but disappointment.
