I had the pleasure of visiting for the first time today. The customer service as soon as I walked through the door was impeccable! I really appreciated the genuine kindness. The food was absolutely delicious! I had oxtail, rice, mac and cheese, and cabbage. That plate didn’t stand a chance. I am already looking forward to visiting again to enjoy more of their delicious menu items. If I had known better I would have gotten a slice of cake. Thank you all!

Was very disappointed today with my food. My chicken didn't taste fresh and was either cooked too fast or reheated from the day before. The sweet potato was soupy. Just a bad experience. See photo.

I went today for my first time to try V's Kitchen and it did not disappoint! I tried the Hamburger scramble with the cabbage/collard mix and Mac n cheese. I thoroughly enjoyed everything I ordered and will definitely be returning. After reading some recent reviews, I was slightly concerned the food or service would not live up to my expectations. I was warmly greeted when I entered and promptly received my pickup order. During the drive back home, my entire car filled with the amazing scent of my food. The cabbage/collard mix had a depth of flavors, the perfect balance of savory, spice and sweetness. Generally collards can be bitter, but at V's they treat them right! The Mac n cheese was creamy and delicious as well, you can definitely taste the three cheeses. The cornbread was fresh, soft, and buttery. Everything that dreams are made of. Finally, the hamburger scramble was delicious and well seasoned. You can tell that they make their own gravy from scratch. Not only was I satisfied with the flavors in my plate, the portions were incredibly generous. Rest assured that they are doing soul food RIGHT at V's.

Where do I begin? When you walk in, your always welcome with warm southern love. I love the art hanging, love her story. Clearly she hires people after her heart. Even when busy, they acknowledge you and even make up for any long wait. IT may be a small taste of the dessert of the day, but when you taste this plate of love, it makes up for it. THIS IS CUSTOMER SERVICE! Bravo!! I will continue to come here and support this establishment. My husband was impressed and wanted to come back for soul food. We are so impressed with a simple burger, we haven't even given the real deal a try. But if your burgers are amazing, the rest is in the books. Your family should be proud! You did that!!!!

My favorite bite: The fried chicken was very good! A wing dinner comes with four hot, crispy, and well seasoned whole wings two sides and roll/cornbread. I chose collard + cabbage mix and macaroni and cheese. Both were hit the "southern comfort food" spot I was hoping to curb. What to know for next time: Get there early to beat the lunch rush. Pro tip: Online ordering is available. What gave me pause: Nothing! I really enjoyed the food and service at V's Kitchen.

My husband and I had a beautiful experience eating here. The service was great and the food didn't disappoint. The portions are filling, you definitely will leave full. The pork chop was delicious, delicious and more delicious. The drive from Raleigh to V's Kitchen was worth it.

If I could rate this 0 stars I would. Let’s start by how we waited over 30 minutes for our food. People who came in after us got their food and left. I seen them being our food to a different table and take it back once they realized it was wrong so that was a even longer process. Now let’s talk about the food. Unpleasing to the eye, small portions for the price, and unpleasant taste. I ordered the Mac & cheese, collard mix, and oxtails. For me to only receive 3 little pieces of oxtail and a bunch load of rice to try and make it seem as if I have a whole bunch of food is ridiculous. And how come it’s unseasoned ? Thennnn the mac and cheese was gross, it looks like they made it yesterday and heated it up today in the microwave giving it that dried up crunchy cheese look and taste. I’m very unsatisfied with EVERYTHING and for this to be my first time eating here I will NEVER come back ..
