Church's Texas Chicken

It saddens me to have to post this but it was my experience it took place on Saturday, February 26, 2022. I have gone to this location for many years and I have never had a problem the customer service is always good and the lady at that location that is the manager is just priceless. I moved away from Durham and was actually passing through and thought about getting some chicken from this location. I went to the line everybody was very nice and I paid for my chicken. I had about an hour's drive before I got home once I arrived at home I opened the box and the chicken was "SPOILED"!! It STUCK UP my whole kitchen, I could not believe they sold it to me. I tried to call the location in Durham and it gave me a recording that the phone number had been changed. I put the chicken in the refrigerator so that I could talk to someone about it called again on Sunday and spoke to another location about the correct phone number and they said that their number had been changed and he didn't know the number. This morning I called Church's Chicken corporate office and filed a complaint they said they would pass it on to someone else who would get back in touch with me. I hope so because I do not want any customer to have that type of experience that I had I had given the chicken to my little ones to eat so I was absolutely devastated. I want to receive my money back for that bad chicken and I will never return again. So upset right now!!

I have not been to a Churches Chicken in more than 6 years. Mainly because they are few and far between. Today I stopped in, and the experience was excellent to say the least. Given the labor shortages and how my subpar experience as of late has been at bigger named franchises of the same product, Churches was head and shoulders above them all. Even drive thru was moving smoothly. And on a college football Saturday. Angelina, I believe is her name, was extremely polite, professional and sensitve to all the customers. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Don’t go to this location! I thought it was better than the other ghetto Durham location; but I drove 30min out my way for some Church’s @9:30 only to be refused service! Despite being open until 10, they don’t serve customers past 9pm to clean the restaurant! I will never give another Church’s my business again until they do something about this.

This place used to have the best chicken to get on roxboro road think the manager is getting ready to maybe retire she's nice and sweet but you don't want to get your chicken there right before closing or after 8:00 p.m. I don't think the grease was changed and you can smell the burnt chicken outside but if they change the grease the way it should be they could potentially go back to being one of the best places on roxboro road to buy fried chicken.
