Waffle House

Cook was the only person on duty. Everyone else called in, so he was only accepting online orders to go. (Totally reasonable) He let us stay and place our order there and wait inside to get it. Very friendly conversation. The place was immaculate. Food was very good (typical Waffle House). We both felt the cook went above and beyond.

Exquisite service was catered to us business men after a long day at the offices. The minions movie was spectacular, and we were rather famished. IHOP was closed, so we proceeded to relocate to Waffle House. We were immediately welcomed and we loved our server. I shall make a gracious mention to John, he was the most extraordinary gentleman I have ever met.

The last couple of times my husband and I went to Waffle House they only had one server/waitress, half of the tables are roped off leaving very few seats, also the wait is long. The waitress that was there yesterday was very rude, racist, and unprofessional. She only took our order, the cook gave us our food, she never checked on us after we got our food or while we were eating. My husband asked her for some jelly and ketchup and she acted like it killed her to hand it to him. She was also very rude to another customer that came in to place a to go order, she told the lady to look around and that should be self explanatory for how long it would take to get her order done. People like her do not need to work in the restaurant industry or any customer service capacity. She needs to re think her career choices... The cook was awesome, he was having to cook and serve people their meals... He was doing his job and her's..

Walked out of this location after sitting for 10+ minutes without any acknowledgment from any of the 4 people working. We understand that they are limiting usable tables (chairs upside down on several), but there was 1 table that had dirty plates, etc. sitting on it the entire time we sat there being ignored. Not short staffed, 3 waitresses & 1 grill person, so really no excuses for the poor treatment.

I hate leaving a negative review. I understand you have limited staff at 5 AM. But when I was willing to change my order to take out your refuse to take a $50 bill. Then told me after 2 o’clock you couldn’t take a $50 bill. The people didn’t want to work. The cook have plenty of time to make my food but the waiter did not want to serve the customer. Waffle house used to be cash only, I’m disappointed they change their ways
