Cafe Renaissance

Although the food was tasty, especially the roll, I would not eat here again. I ordered the Shrimp Po-Boy. It was eight pieces of store bought shrimp with a sauce that looked and tasted like a mixture of ketchup, mayonnaise and a few spices in a large roll. For eight dollars the roll should have been filled with shrimp instead of the roll over whelming the shrimp. Don't know why this restaurant feels it can go to the Costcos or Sams buy some rolls, frozen shrimp, some mayo, ketchup and a few spices, cook em and mix them up a little and charge such an inflated price. I would have been happy paying $4.00-$5.00 but definitely not $8.00.

The Cafe Renaissance is right across from NCCU. Today Feb 5 I thought I give it a try. The inside is nice with alot of space, they offer free WiFi which is a plus for me since I'm a student at NCCU. The food was pretty good I ordered the cheeseburger meal with fries. The burger was pretty huge so it will fill you up. The staff was great I even met the owner he was pretty cool.
