Triangle Seafood Market

Downtown Durham could use a good seafood place. Unfortunately, this is not it. I normally don't write reviews after my first visit to a restaurant. However, since I won't be back to Triangle Seafood Market this is my only chance. The name of the game here is salt. It seems like the kitchen knew their dishes had no flavor, so, to compensate, the piled on the salt. Two of us had the haddock, one the salmon, and the other monk fish. None of them we very good. They were not horrible, just way too salty and nothing to remember. It's a shame because the space itself is very nice. But, we visited on a Friday night and we're there from 6:30 until well after 8:00, and, at most, there were 5 tables in use. Unless things change, I don't see Triangle Seafood Market being around for very long.

My huband and I just left Triangle Fish Market after our regular Thursday date night. It was our first time dining here. Like Matthew, we won't be returning. The space was very nice and classy, however, the portions were small and over priced. I ordered the canned peaches, peach cobbler (with mostly bland crust). I was charged an extra $2.50 for ice cream. Service was terrible. Prayog was our server, and he pretty much ignored us and took an extremely long time to bring everything. Although, he did quickly pick the guest check up after we signed the receipt. I am Disappointed, and my disappointment is reflected in the tip.

I dont know what this guy Matthew Clobridge is talking about in other review because THIS PLACE IS AWESOME!!! And nothings over salted. He probaly just added salt before tasting the dish. Ate dinner the other night and went back tonight. Fish Market is open now on other side of restaurant as well. All i have to say is FRESH FISH FOR SURE!!!
