Fantastic counter service and a damn good, and generously sized, potion for $12. The double chocolate chip cookie was as big as my sandwich and quite possibly my favorite part of the meal. The cheese and veggie sandwich was great, I'll try the hummus and veggie next!

Perfect little place to have some freshly baked pastries, coffee and sandwiches. Came here for a simple breakfast on Sunday. Had the steak and eggs. The service was excellent and the folks are very friendly

So many options! Pastries, bread, yummy yummy. I think my fav are the protein bombs. Full of flavor and very filling. Head to Durham to get one (or many) of their tasty treats.

A delicious stop for breakfast goodies. My wife and I got some morning pastries from here during a recent stay in downtown Durham. Their cinnamon rolls and morning rolls are delectable (and large!). We've enjoyed their baked goods before, but had never visited this location until this past weekend. Highly recommended!

You can smell the bakery from down the street, follow that scent! Freshest bread and baked goods that I have ever had. The sandwiches are bomb, you can purchase their bread and baked goods there, great drink and soda selection to go with it. We also got bear claws and cinnamon buns for later that were amazing. Another must in Durham!

Stopped by to work outside on a beautiful day and wanted to order something to justify sitting there. Got a vegan Thai coconut hand pie for 4.25$ and it was pretty average. The views and ambiance outside is worth 5 stars but the hand pie is self was 3 stars even when warmed up!

Unfortunately, the babka we ordered was not very good. It was described as being their proudest achievement with a moist chocolate swirl, but there was nothing moist or chocolatey going on - I don’t think it was freshly baked, the texture was very dry and there was hardly any chocolate at all. We ended up throwing both loaves away. Bummed.

PSA: The cheese and veggie sandwich is a must. Now I don’t know if the deli counter could tell I was starving or just saw that I was 9 months pregnant but either way on this day they gave me 2 sandwiches bc the sourdough slices were “small”. They totally weren’t small and were fully delicious. I know what you are asking yourself- “did she really eat 2 whole sandwiches?” And the answer is yes. Yes I did. Thank you Ninth Street for always coming through on delicious bakes and even better sandwiches.
