Review The Red Lion - Earlswood

Comforting place in a good location. Efficient and friendly service, decent food with a good selection of beers on tap. They served one of the best Halloumi fries we have had. We also had salt and pepper calamari, lasagne, hunters chicken schnitzel, and the rib eye steak with peppercorn sauce. We replaced the triple cooked chips with french fries. All food were good. We also recommend the coconut sorbet here. They also serve good lavazza coffee.

Good food, friendly staff, not a huge menu but a fair selection. Served quite quickly too although it was a Tuesday and so not overly busy. Have been before a few times and would go again.

Popped in for lunch, not a fan of the beef sandwich but the fries, lasagna, pate and coffee were good. Close to lakes and a free car park. @Foodies_of_brum

Wonderful food, dog friendly, warm atmosphere inside, pretty garden area. A real find after a long walk around the fabulous countryside nearby. A great pub for a quick pint or a leisurely Sunday lunch.

What at amazing old wooden beamed pub / restaurant. You can park right opposite and enjoy a walk around Earlswood Lakes before a cold pint and amazing food . Definitely a must if you are in the Solihull area,.

Never been here before but I’ll definitely be going again. Greeted at first site by the friendly bar staff. Great variety of drinks and top level service. I decided to go for the Rib eye steak which in my opinion was the best steak I’ve ever had. Had the pleasure of meeting the manager there called Sean, it’s great to see someone take so much pride and care into the work they do and aiming to give the best service available to his customers. Highly recommend

Absolutely stunning pub. Inside is elegant but inviting.a place where you could relax with a drink or enjoy a meal with friends or family. The beer garden is just about the right size even with the roads either side it's still quiet and they do not impose on the atmosphere. The food I had was excellent. one of the best steaks I have eaten in a long time and the beef dripping sauce was a changer. Overall a definite recommendation from and can't wait to return.

This used to be a local of mine in my young days so was nice to pop back here. Outside the same but inside has changed, for the better. Lovely seating areas indoor and out. Our waiter was very accommodating. Always checking we had everything we needed. Food didn’t come out rushed so was nice to sit back and have a drink whilst chatting. Food was delicious and worth every penny. I will be visiting again that’s for sure!!

Met up here with friends for a fabulous eve meal. The 1st thing we all noticed is that we all drove past the pub, (because sadly due to the energy bills, it's no longer lit up like Blackpool illuminations!) We'd booked & it was a busy Tue's eve. We received a very warm & friendly welcome. 🤗 The waiter was like having free entertainment, he was brilliant. 😃 The food was unbelievable. The Red Lion used to be INFAMOUS for their lasagna's donkeys years ago, people flocked from miles around for them. They've excelled on a new version - the best I've tasted anywhere in years! I had the Black Forest Flower Pot for pudding. OMG an entirely edible feast of deconstructed black forest yum! The mini pud with coffee was a great size. All in all our meals were 10 out of 10. ✔️🤤🤤🤤

The best evening. Bogdan who served us was superb. Funny, attentive and bloody hard working. The food was beautiful. I had the best Old Fashioned cocktail. Great atmosphere, great location. Couldn't fault it. Our family also rated the meal, service and atmosphere. Love This place. Thank you to all the staff and the chefs, superb team.

Food was lovely, hot and well presented. Overall very happy with the experience. Would have been nice to have a drinks menu on the table or given to us as we had to ask. Would definitely return. Staff were friendly and helpful

There was a great selection of food on the menu and the meals we had were delicious. The staff were helpful. The only criticism I have is that I was not able to book a dog friendly area as it was greyed out on the app. It had been a while since we visited the Red Lion and I thought they used to have a dog friendly area.
