Just had fish and chips from here tonight. Absolutely delicious. Well recommended
Good cod & chips - stayed hot until we were ready to eat. Friendly service. The person serving needs to invest in a new overall - although it was clean it was very torn around the middle and found it slightly off putting seeing his bare flesh!. Not a very good impression.
Literally just finished eating and decided to leave a review I was so impressed. Lovely white cod in crisp batter, not too thick. Very generous portions. Will definitely return if we’re staying local in the future
Had cod and chips, batter light and crispy very tasty and good value for money.
Good portion size the small was perfect for me as I don't eat many. The fish was really good as well. The only downside was no real options for vegetarians.
The best. Cash only though so be warned.
Good fish and chips cooked in the traditional way. Fish was a little small for those with larger appetites.
Fish and chips are always so good from here. I've seen a few negative reviews and can't even begin to understand why. Great place.
The fish and chips at Jakes plaice is amazing. It is the best in york area in my opinion. Very generous portions. Would recommend it to anyone around easingwold.
Glad they were open and a very good welcome from the owner. The fish was dried to order and they were definitely worth waiting for.
Great fish and chips and great staff. He even let me off a pound.
Good sensible portions cooked very well
