The premises were clean, friendly and welcoming. My only (one) issue was lack of vegetarian options, which has appeared to be an issue with a lot of restaurants/pubs in North Yorkshire. However a lovely vegetable lasagna was prepared for me which was delicious and well presented.
I would definitely eat there again if vegetable lasagna is put on the menu!
Good 'pub food', excellent value and very tasty. I'd highly recommend the blue cheese sauce to go with the steak - outstanding to dunk your chips in !

It was a quieter evening when we visited. The only negative was two yappy/barking dogs - thankfully not sat in that part of the pub with them, or we would have moved. Owner didn't seem to have control, (or care). Hey, ho !!

First time going here and I am really glad I did. I met a friend who was running late for tea. I ordered my drink at the bar and was shown to our table. My friend arrived and her drink order was taken and arrived promptly.
We ordered our food and waited about 30 minutes, which I thought was very reasonable for freshly cooked grub. I ordered the Scampi and it came piping hot, very well presented with a fresh side salad and it all tasted delicious. We ordered deserts and they also arrived promptly, and tasted just as good as the main course.
Devon, the barman, kept coming over to make sure everything was OK with us and all the other tables, making sure our glasses were never empty. I thought the prices for our meals were very reasonable and all in all it was a very enjoyable and friendly experience. We will be back soon 😁

Great place been coming here for a long time. Food is always great, it was a little too early for the evening menu, so I opted for the scampi today. Great choice of beers. And had my first UK pint of JS in nearly 3 years lol. Well worth a visit if you pass. Great for families The staff are great and very pleasant. Will.be back for my steak next week.

We had a family meal booked for 10 people and had an amazing Sunday Dinner. The service was excellent, all the staff were friendly and professional, really looking after us from us arriving to leaving. We will definitely be visiting again. Thanks to Claire and the team. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Great pub, excellent food and really friendly staff that go out of there way for there customers. Can't complain in the slightest. Facilities are nice and clean too.

The staff are always welcoming, as well as the locals. Claire, the new landlady, is taking the pub from strength to strength, with quiz nights, and live music.

Really was lovely food and the service was fantastic. The girl who served us was lovely and friendly and very helpful.
They also were great regarding the gluten free allergy we had at our table.
Timmy Taylor’s on tap which was superb and my steak was perfectly cooked.

Would highly recommend the Denison Arms, very friendly pub, staff were fantastic, food and service great and prices good. It can get busy, so would recommend booking in advance for eating.
Met up today 25th February with the family for Sunday lunch for my birthday celebration recommended by our daughter.We all agreed best meal ever & super friendly staff.
Lovely cosy country pub. The decor is relaxing,comfy and the staff were all friendly and answered our questions about the food knowledgeably. The food was freshly cooked, well presented and tasted delicious, I had taken the peas off before I took the photo. We were spoilt for choice with the desert menu, but opted for the lemon roulade which was very tasty.
Devon was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. We will be going back again without a doubt. Thank you for an great evening 😁
Absolutely lovely find on a wet windy afternoon. Had homemade pie mash and veg.....food was beautiful and piping hot. Old school desserts of jam roll poly with custard, again home made and came piping hot. Coffee was spot on to end a lovely meal. Landlady is friendly and service was delightful. Will be popping in again. Thank you!

What a great little pub..... I had the steak and ale pie with Stilton, then tried to finish the apple crumble with ice cream.... almost killed me but I did it.... far better than I expected and one that I will be back to...👍

Had a wonderful anniversary meal here last night, food and service were impeccable. I had the sirloin steak which was cooked to perfection. Staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely be back and would highly recommend if your in the area.
Pub just opened the girl who opened was excellent ,just had two rounds of drinks not to much choice of ale unfortunately but would visit again
