We arrived today with a very tired, very hot hangry child (he’s only one!). With no other form of expression to tell us how he was feelin, he screamed & he cried. After 10mins of patiently standing in what seemed a mile long queue with said sweaty hangry child, I walked to take him outside until his daddy had got to the door, to rejoin the queue with him. One member of staff was an absolute diamond. Realising said child was in a state, she asked if he was hungry. Off she went An got a Yorkshire pudding & some strawberries.. We couldn’t of thanked her enough! 25mins of queuing was made a whole lot easier. Food was definitely worth the wait. All meat was tasty & melted in the mouth. Roast pots & veg were well cooked too. We would definitely return to this carvery and recommend to others. (Jus not with a tired hot hangry child Better planning required lol)

The food and service at Brent House is better than excellent....if there is a word for that! The only problem I have is that when visiting on sundays there is such a long queue- the last time we called a couple of Sundays ago we were in a queue that weaved in and out of the restaurant and bar area for almost an hour before we were able to collect our lunch...if we hadn't been so hungry it would have been amusing- my friend described it as a "slow motion Conga!" Nevertheless, we really enjoyed the meal, as always, and it's well worth the 35 minute drive from Street.(The pork crackling is the best I've ever tasted...really!) Keep up the good work, and hopefully you can solve the Sunday queuing problem. Looking forward to visiting again soon. Best regards and thanks to you all.

Absolutely amazing service and the best Carvery. So much choice for both meat and veg. Very friendly and helpful staff team. They do an amazing job. The turnover is so quick the staff get things cleared and arranged for the next lot of custom. I will however say that the place itself is now looking a little shabby. Nothing that a but of TLC couldn't repair, cosmetic update required.

Booked which was a good idea. Straight in to my Seat and Sat down. Even though there was a long queue were served very quickly. And the food was fantastic. Had wonderful ice cream. Even took some deserts home. A wonderful place with lovely staff. Highly recommended.

Had a lovely lunch yesterday, group booking but we were well looked after. Food is excellent as are the staff, efficient and friendly. As some others have commented, the restaurant is starting to look a bit tired as are the toilets. I will continue to visit though as one of best carveries in the area.

Had a lovely sunday roast, one of the best ones around. But do have a little gripe, grandaughter wanted her pudding to take away like the rest of us but we were told that they didnt do childrens puddings to go so had to pay for a adults one for her, surly its possible to do a small portion size for children at a cheaper price

Many many years ago I knew these lovely people. I worked at Harold Leigh Cash and Carry and my boss was Mervyn Davies. We went often to Brent House. I left UK in 1976 but when I returned for holidays this was a favourite place to visit for a delicious meal. My dear brother Michael's birthday is tomorrow and I would love him to enjoy a meal at his favourite place so wondered if you are able to allow me to buy him a gift voucher from Australia? You probably wouldn't remember me after all these years but bet you remember my friend Joan Creed? Best of Wishes Janice Willetts.

Best carvery around for sure, more meat than I could eat. I advise to get there early as it was very busy but service was still excellent. Definitely good value for money. Would highly recommend.

We're on a coach trip, the place was lovely and bright. The food was absolutely lovely they didn't scrimp on the meat really tasty, And the puddings so much choice, Most of people on the coach took their puddings home with them, the staff boxed them up for us. I would definitely go back and recommend to friends and family if it wasn't so far away. Sorry guys

One of the best and I've had many carveries from different restaurants. It would definitely visit more if i lived locally 😀 They also have a lot of desert choices, I went with the aero mint rocky road and was not disappointed.

This place was amazing. Light and airy, very clean including the toilets. Staff were polite, helpful and friendly. As for the carvery, it was the best we'd ever had and huge. Everything cooked to perfection, good variety of veg including roast parsnips which were yummy. No room for dessert so we took some home. Massive portion again and equally delicious. Highly recommended.

Very nice Sunday carvery, great selection of Meats but the vegetables could be more interesting/variable. Desserts were mega and lots of choice! Overall, would definitely recommend to anyone who hasn't been.

Excellent customer service every time. Lots of veggie options, fill your plate up high, always fresh and tasty. Desserts are also incredible and can be taken away if you are full up.

Absolutely does the job well for a filling, satisfying family meal out. We went with quite a large party and yet we were still seated quickly and easily. The queue for the carvery was long but kept moving well, and the selection of meats and sides were great. The Potatoes in particular were absolutely fantastically well done, but really all the veg and mains were cooked extremely well. The dining area is extensive, and lots of space round back (plus lots of outdoor areas to sit, although it was raining the day we went). The absolute highlight was the desserts - so much choice, huge servings (we had to take some of ours home to finish the next day!), and all delicious. Cozy, warm, friendly and good value for money - would recommend for an easy and relaxing meal out with the family.

Stopped by on the off chance while passing as a group of 6. 4 Adults and 2 Children. One of whom is disabled. In a busy restaurant we were immediately sat at a table and the staff were very friendly. Food was sublime. Well done everyone. It’s very rare we go to a restaurant who not only provides Disabled Toilets but ones that are also as clean and nice as they are here. Thank you.

Could not fault the food. Very tasty with very generous servings of meat and Yorkshire pudding (although I had the veggie option, I could see that family members were given generous portions. You can help yourself to as many vegetables, sauces and gravy as you like. Incredible pudding selection with huge portions. Staff seemed friendly, but we're very busy so it was hard to really gauge them when they came and went to the table very quickly, didn't ask how food was etc. Queue for the carvery was very long, but we knew we were going to a very popular place as it has been recommended by a few people. It did keep moving along steadily and the food was worth the wait. The overall atmosphere in there is quite rushed and chaotic while queuing, but we were lucky enough to be seated in a cleverly designed area where it felt like we were tucked away from the queue. Would definitely go again and recommend for the food.

An amazing carvery once again. Couldn't fault anything. Beautifully cooked meat and the selection of vegetables and potatoes were very good. Lovely tasty gravy topped it off. Would highly recommend, but book some time in advance for a Sunday as that's the busiest day.

Really impressed with the food and service. We enjoyed a fabulous carvery - and the desserts were superb. We will definitely find an excuse to visit again soon - and may have to take away an extra dessert or two!

If you enjoy a carvery this is the place to judge all others against.Even if you don't live locally make the effort to visit this place.when we visited on a week day not weekend there were 4 meats available lamb, beef, pork and turkey but you choose only two. Two is enough as portion size is good and a great selection of vegetables and sauces. This isn't a mamby pamby set up these are people that know how to do a carvery and do it well. If you pass this place you've missed a great experience.

Been here a couple times after moving nearby, the food is absolutely incredible. The portions are really good sizes for the money you pay and the dessert is out of this world. The atmosphere is always good as its usually busy, the staff are really lovely. Definitely recommend, will be coming back!

Beautiful food as usual and staff friendly and helpful we use here on a regular basis as it is by far the best carvery in the area. Was a little disappointed to see that it’s gone back to serving yourself to the vegetables and sauces . The reason I say this is only because it makes the counters more messy and the amount of people who come back to tables with overloaded plates that you know will be wasted . The only other suggestion I would make is that a choice of sizes of meals? My father loves the carvery but he eats small portions and would benefit from this rather than a huge plate that overwhelms him even though he puts very little on it . He then feels he’s missing out as he pays the same but probably only eats half if that . Anyway that aside best carvery by far Thankyou

Five hours after leaving Brent House Carvery, I have just found the room to have the sweet I bought to take away (a super lemon topped cheesecake with a proper generous biscuit base - none of your thin rubbish base). When there, your meal gets plated for you, but don't get the impression they skimp on portions, oh no, you get a full generous plateful. And being served for you, there is no danger of guests dropping the serving cutlery on the floor, giving it a quick wipe with their hand and sticking it back into the veg bowl - yes, I have seen that happen elsewhere!. Regardless of meat choice, you will get offered a Yorkshire Pudding, and then there's the stuffing, champ, mashed potato, roasted potatoes, big veg choice, gravy, sauces . . . . Oh my belly! Make the carvery a 'must do' if you are on holiday . . . you won't need to eat the next day !!
