Review The Tea Room On The Wall - East Wallhouses

An interesting café set in stunning country side with very poor views out of the window. Something really needs doing to improve this. The cake selection looked very tasty. But we weren't in for cake today. We opted for milkshakes. Disappointing presentation which I did point out to the staff. You really shouldn't be using disposable cups for people who are sitting in. We weren't the only one having milkshake today. So if you are in the area and in need of a drink and something to eat. I would say to call in. However some improvement is definitely needed.

An excellent little café, located in the 'shop end' of what used to be the Vallum Farm café. Lovely staff, properly made coffee and excellent food, especially the cakes. The menu has expanded since I took these photos - there's now also a smoked salmon bagel for breakfast and Welsh rarebit for lunch. Definitely worth a visit. Top tip: there's less parking out front than there are seats in the café, so I'd recommend getting in early...

Recently visited cafe aroma, lovely views and some nice food, the menu is still being developed after only Bering open a few weeks. But certainly worth a visit

Such a lovely place but a clean cup without coffee spilt all the down the sides and floating coffee granules would have been great. This maybe a coffee machine issue as the coffee was very watery & weak. Also was bought wrong sandwich (presentation needs looking at) and table needed a good clean. Please take this as constructive criticism as a little attention to detail could turn this place around.

A great place to stop after or in between a walk along the wall or during a bike ride in the area. They have a lovely selection of savouries, cakes and treats and satisfying coffees and teas as well. Worth a drop in if you're in the area.

First visit post lockdown, and since it became cafe aroma. I Had coffee and cake, we sat in the outside seating area, my wife thoroughly recommends the cheese scones.

First visit not to be repeated unfortunately. Served by an extremely surly lady who failed to offer so much as a smile never mind a please or thank you. Table was filthy with apparently no routine of cleaning between customers : a glass counter for tempting customers with cake also looked very dirty. Food was ok but experience was poor overall.

I hadn't been here for several years but dropped in on my way back along the Military Road. The kitchen closes at 3pm but tray bakes and tea and coffee continues to be served until closing time of 4pm. A very tempting selection of cakes and bakes. My daughter and I chose one each and both were delicious. I had a lovely cappuccino. It was very quiet at 3.30 but service was friendly and patient as my daughter went through details of each cake! We shall be back.
