I visit this chippy most weekends when I come to my parents. I can honestly say they serve the best fish, it’s always fresh white flaky cod. Absolutely mouth watering and delicious. Staff are always polite even when extremely busy. Keep up the good work.

I don’t know why so many bad reviews - we almost were going further for th fish and chips. It’s a quiet Friday not great weather so not busy but the fish chips and curry sauce were lovely as were the staff that took our phone order (eventually be patient if it’s Friday night) so giving it 5 stars to

Very nice local chippy. Chips were well cooked in clean oil and the fish was excellent. They didn't answer the phone when we tried to call ahead but it was a busy Friday.

We are not from the area so googled chippys in the area and Royal Oak came out as one of the best so we gave it a go. Between us (5 of us) we had chips, battered cod, battered sausage and sausages and it was all lovely.

Great service, choice, quality and a fair price for Friday evening fish and chips.
