The Belgian Cafe - Eastbourne - Photo album

Really liked the options on the menu, the chips were better then what I've had in Belgium. I felt however the beer menu was small, and the seafood platter should have been colder and maybe served on ice. Other than that, food was fresh, tasty and tye service was excellent.
I got the 6 oysters on the menu which were delicious! The server was very kind in letting me try a lemonade with grenadine (extra 50p). It wasn’t busy when we went around 4pm. I had to get up in the end to get the bill since it took a while but still a nice experience.
Situated on the seafront it specialises in seafood on this visit we didn't eat. It has over 50 Belgium bottled beers. The cafe houses down below in the Cellar Bear Me Brewery, a great range of Beers and Ipas. This place is a Eastbournes little secret. Well worth a visit. 2nd August 2023 Revisited
We are returning customers. This is a yummy place to go if you fancy mussels and beer. But their menu has plenty of other options that can satisfy you if mussels are not your thing, like in my case. The service is always lovely, great host and big smiles, they take time in getting the right order fo
Lovely lively Ambience. The staff are really courteous and friendly. We had live music going on. It was Sunday evening. We had large fish and chips. It was very crispy. They have a good selection of beer from beerme. They are famous for the muscles but we are not a muscles eater. The best was the to
This seafood restaurant only take less than 5 minutes walk from Eastbourne pier. They serve fresh seafood and variety of Belgian beers. We had a seafood platter for two, oysters and mussels cooked with herbs lemon. The seafood platter for two comes with a small bowl of Marinière Mussels, prawns, sa
Chips left a little too be desired, ( seemed a bit stale, perhaps just the time of day) otherwise a really nice meal, mussels with blue cheese and bacon. Staff very pleasant and helpful, they didn’t have the oyster stout I asked for, but the lovely lady gave me a couple of small tasters to help me c
Nice place with a wide range of mussel dishes. The food is delicious, the waiters are friendly, the atmosphere is pleasant. I can definitely recommend this place
Honestly, the best meal I've had in a long time. Had a platter and the seafood was so delicious and fresh. The staff friendly and professional.
Absolutely loved the mussels and the service here! Gets quite busy on the weekend, so I recommend a booking.
Loved this place, the staff were amazing, the food was excellent and the Saison beer was the best I have had. The live music was very good too. We'll definitely go again when we are next in Eastbourne.
Lovely place! Very good service provided by two waitresses on a Monday evening. Can't believe I live in Eastbourne for nearly 4 years and never been here before. The menu looks good and this is where I tried frog legs for the first time too 🤣 beautiful atmosphere, you can see pier trough the window.
Loved it, especially the 🇧🇪 craft beer range and the food was very tasty, a great find
The food was really good. The place was quiet while we were there. Early on a Monday evening. Great selection of beers.
Great Cafe. Sell Belgian beers which is a big advantage. Great staff and lovely food. Well worth a visit. The mussels are fantastic.
This is a great place to get a taste of Belgian-style beers in Eastbourne, five minutes from Eastbourne Pier. A micro pub/independent brewery, the core of available beers is brewed right on the premises. Lovely interior, a small outside seating area to the front, a small but topical menu (specialty:
Really friendly place, good beer, great staff. I'm not a massive fan of mussels, but I thought I'd give them a try as it's their specialty, they were delicious. The only thing stopping me from giving a 5 was that the service was a little slow. We both would have had another drink and maybe dessert i
