We came to Cape Cod at the end of October and most of the restaurants had closed for the season. Those that were still open did not serve lobster, at most they had lobster bisque soup. Our hotel didn’t have any good suggestions either. I found the Lobster Shanty online and happily they are still open this late in the season. My husband was able to get a 2.5 lb lobster at what we thought was a very reasonable price, and I got the lobster roll which was great as well. Quick and friendly service, great food, and a casual atmosphere. They have indoor and outdoor seating. We recommend if you are looking for seafood in the area.

A terrific spot for a meal! We saw this place when heading to our hotel in Truro, and had to try it out for lunch.
I got the fish and chips, and they were fantastic! So delicious, flakey, and melt in your mouth. The breading was also perfect!
Portion sizes are huge! You won’t go hungry, and you won’t regret getting their fish and chips!

1st time having a Lobster Roll, and although it wasn't entirely what I was expecting, it was great! Would have again! My uncle had it as well and enjoyed it too, and his 1st time, same as mine.

They claim, "Best lobster roll on the Cape".
Cannot prove or disprove, but objectively, the cold lobster roll included:
One whole claw. Not chopped.
One whole "arm", chopped.
One half of a tail. Cut into rather large chunks.
Just a trace of mayo and other usual lobster roll ingredients.
I had to eat quite a bit of the lobster with knife and fork before I could lift the roll and bite it.
I cannot envision a better lobster roll than that one.

Second time here. Waitress was super lovely whom we found out is the owners daughter. She brought our kids to the lobster tank and let them hold a lobster!

Top notch food here and our server was awesome.
They claim best lobster roll in state and I'll tell ya it's one of the best I've had I'm not here to argue with the claim lol.
I'd definetly go back here and recommend it.
5 star for the quick dining spot after the beach.

Nice lobster roll here. Fries were good too. Food was good wait staff was a bit inattentive though. Buffalo shrimp was good but the buffalo flavor is too overwhelming you can't taste the shrimp so I wouldn't recommend that.

Great place to eat. Definitely 5 stars. Not sure why there rated at 3.5 stars. The staff was fun and entertained the kids even let them take a picture with a lobster. The food was great and Definitely worth going back for. I will be going back again on this trip for the endless fish and chips? How could you go wrong with a endless fish and chips for $17.95
