Excellent Indian restaurant near Holiday Inn serving all types of curries. I have order " matar paneer masala", "chana masala", "daal tadka", "tandoori roti" and " rice pulao" and liked the taste. Ambience is good and service is quick. Staff is friendly and helpful.
What an amazing place!
We stopped there on our way to catch the ferry. It's literally 20mns away from the Brittany ferry dock in Portsmouth.
It was the best curry we've had in ages.
Staff was super friendly and helpful, and the price was hugely reasonable!
We'll definitely use this place again whenever we're travelling from Portsmouth!

Truly the best curry we've had in the Southampton area. Loads of choice. Food was tasty and well presented. Plenty of tables and parking on-site. Cannot fault it - will be going again!
Staying at Holiday Inn so decided to try this restaurant. Very quite when we went on a Sunday but also very nice. Staff were friendly but also discrete. Food was lovely very well cooked and a good price. Definitely recommend if your in the area
I decided to arrange a surprise 30th birthday meal for my youngest son. The Badi Mirchi was the perfect choice .. centrally located with parking and lots of space inside. There were 24 of us in total which wasn't a problem. Syed and his staff were fabulous from the outset. Nothing was too much trouble. I was allowed to decorate the table and they were more than happy to accommodate my requests.
We pre-ordered our food due to the size of the booking. On the night the service was beyond excellent and the food was superb and hot too! When catering for large numbers so often the food is served up luke warm but not at The Badi Mirchi. All the food came out quickly too. Everyone was commenting on how wonderful everything was .. the atmosphere, staff and food. It made such a change as I usually end up complaining about something but not this time.
I cannot recommend The Badi Mirchi highly enough. We will definitely be returning!

Excellent service, food was well presented and very tasty, all flavours were spot on.
Staff very friendly and attentive
Had a lovely quiet meal here tonight (Tues), the waiter was attentive and discreet. The restaurant seemed of a good quality and was nice and clean. We had poppadoms which came with the usual lime pickle, yogurt, mango chutney and diced onions. I had onion bhajis which were very nicely done. The English style but of salad on the side of the plate was a little bit lacking compared to others restaurants I have been to but it was fresh. As a main I had the veg. Madras which was very nice - the heat was slightly more than at other places but very much to my liking. There was a good assortment of veg in the curry as well. I also had a tandoori roti and some pilau rice both of which were really tasty. My friend had a chicken passanda, a keema naan and we shared the rice. He said it was all really good. All washed down with a couple of pints each of cobra beer. On the whole it was a really good place and I would recommend it for either a casual meal or a special occasion.

A quick and tasty treat for a mid week meal
Having been seated we were offered a straightforward food menu with an additional drinks menu.
Non alcohol lager available for those driving.
A couple of poppadoms with Green Yoghurt, Lime Pickle, Mango Chutney and Very hot Chilli, Tomato & Onion Salad.
Some dried chilli's were delivered on request which and smoky and delicious to chew on whilst waiting for our Badi Combo Classic starter for two.
The chicken on the platter was maybe a little dry, but didn't disappoint.

This was absolutely devine served with a Peshwari Naan & Cheese and Chilli Naan's
The main course certainly packed a punch and is certainly recommended for the hot/warm chilli connoisseur.
It was no trouble for the staff when asked for the remainder of the uneaten meal to be packed up for a late hotel snack.
Really good service and friendly banter from the front of house staff. Even the chef made an appearance to deliver the starter, a very nice touch!
The while bill for the two of use came in under £50 which was not overly expensive considering the quality and flavour. The portions are really very generous and we'll balanced.
Knowing next to nothing about Indian cuisine, our waiter gave us suggestions, and they were excellent!

Visiting from Yorkshire and decided to try here. Staff were really friendly and welcoming. Unhurried friendly service and the food was lovely. Being tight Yorkshire folk it was a little more expensive than were used to but definitely worth it. Great flavoursome food and good service.
Lovely gesture from the owner too at the end of the meal which meant we stayed even longer.
I really like this place because, it suits me personally. Beside the food, services and the atmosphere is amazing for real. You really gonna enjoy your meal here specially if you with your love ones ☺️

We had a great time eating delicious food at your restaurant.The waiters were committed to great service and were very friendly.We were welcomed at the door by the staff.The atmosphere was awesome with nice India music. All stuffs were nicely dressed. We liked verity of Indian dishes and reasonably priced drinks and cocktails. We will definitely come back and highly recommend.
