Great day out excellent surroundings with added bonus of a small cafe with excellent food

Very pleasant location, a lot of mature deciduous trees making for a superb backdrop to the lakes, whilst not interfering with casting too much.
I only caught the one fish, but it was a hard fighting, decent sized rainbow that definitely did not want to come to the net.
Apparently, the lakes are up to 40 feet deep in places, so I will try an intermediate or sinking line on my next visit.

It would have been better if I had caught a fish!! Nice Cafe but is closed mondays and Tuesdays, so nowhere to get a brew!

Very pretty setting. We did have to wait a little while for our meal as everything is cooked fresh to order, but the staff are friendly and helpful and the food was excellent.

We went to spend a quiet weekend in our motorhome. Successfully! Had Sunday breakfast in the café which was freshly cooked, so hot and delicious. Such lovely views.
