Was my dad and my granddads Favorite place to eat and I've followed in the family tradition. A visit back to London isn't complete without a salt beef sandwich on rye with mustard ! Family run business and it's an absolute must visit if you like salt beef, chicken soup or chopped liver !
There's a reason for places including food names in the title of their business and that is usually because they want to flaunt their specialty. In this case, it is 100% an accurate display of what to get. I would say they're under selling themselves if they had 'The best damn salt beef you're likely to have' printed across the front.
The rye bread is super soft and warmed by the thick layers of salt beef stacked to breaking point. It doesn't even need any more fillings or sauces to improve taste, in fact, I prefer it without because the beef is just so good. Even when plain the sandwich is never dry. The egg and onion is also pretty tasty.
Even though it's around 2 and a half hours from my house, without ample directions available and finding the name was an exhausting challenge - damn good salt beef.
Walking in as if it were an oasis, we were seated in a timely manner (I'm pretty sure if it was in a more central location there would have been at least a 10 minute wait), the menu is great, but there was only one thing on my mind, a salt beef sandwich. I don't remember any sides I ordered, I just remember that holy sandwich. Falling apart with every bite, I don't know how I didn't order another one- I earned those calories. I did. The bread was perfectly light, and the refreshing pickle was there to remind you that there are other flavours in the world apart from heavenly beef.
Price wise, it was standard - didn't spend more than 15GBP in the place, and I do remember other things on the table.
I hope they open a more central location soon, I might have to replace them with Brick Lane Bagels.
The best salt beef sandwiches in London have to be here in Edgeware..filling fresh and with the mustard makes for a perfect mid day snack
I know I'm not going to get Corned Beef and/or Pastrami like back home in New York City, so Salt Beef it is and I made it a point of traveling across London in search of the most mouth watering Salt Beef in the city and I found it in Edgeware.
You want succulent, make your mouth water Salt Beef you high tail it to B&K Salt Beef Bar, Next time I go, am going to find my favorite deli rye and mustard bring it with me and have them pile their salt beef on them.
All that's missing is a Dr Brown's Black Cherry Soda, Poato Knish, and a plate of Full Sour Pickles - for those traveling to New York City - make sure to visit Katz' Deli on Houston along with Russ & Daughters (smoked fish) and Yonah Schimmel for her AWESOME potato knishes.

Had the best Salt Beef sandwich in my world yesterday courtesy of B&K in Edgware, London. On Rye with pickle and mustard. Latke secretly on the side. Coming here since 1996. Sandwiches from other shops around London are barely one tenth as good. A public joy.

Haven't been here in decades. Why haven't i? Wasted time i say. The salt beef and tongue was fantastic. As where the latkes. Do it!!
Excellent salt beef on rye bread sandwiches. Just one sandwich makes you so full !! Tasty Potato latke and also the fish balls are amazing. Their whole menu is great and tasty. Got to try the beans and barley soup and the matzo ball chicken soup!! Taste of home cooked food. Good quality and tasty food. Very friendly owners and nice eatery with good vibes!
Went into the Edgware branch today travelling all the way from Brighton - and it was beyond worth it! Absolutely the best salt beef sandwich I have had in years, alongside the fish balls. I was served by the sweetest people, and the man actually reminded me of my grandfather who has passed. I felt so at home and nostalgic there and I can’t wait to go back
The best salt beef in town... I was recommended this restaurant by friends and I was not disappointed. The moment I walked in, I was so pleasantly surprised. The guy working there was so friendly, kind sweet, helpful and explained everything to me with patience. I would totally recommend this place to everyone that fancies salt beef as well as the other products they offer. It is a great little place and the quality of the products is outstanding and way above the rest.
Fabulous food and brilliant service. Recommend the salt beef and lokshen pudding but all of it was delicious. Run by really friendly family team.
Been here many times over the years but decided to write a review after today. Service is always exceptional here, staff are always welcoming and friendly.

Excellent. The perfect Jewish food. Had their mixed meat on rye. The meat was perfectly cooked. The rye just melted in your mouth. Got an apple strudel which reminded me of my Grandmother. Such a friendly atmosphere.
