Mumbai Diners' Club

This review is long overdue. We were in Edinburgh for vacation pre-covid and we stumbled upon this gem. I've had Indian food in a number of different places (here in the US, in London and in Australia as well) and this might have been the best Indian food I've ever had. The butter chicken was divine. The lamb chops starter had so much flavor. In fact, everything had amazing flavor. I've had a lot of bland curries in my life, but the flavors at Mumbai Diners' Club were so rich, we came back twice just during our vacation. My family still talks about it sometimes. When we come back to Edinburgh--we had a lovely time there--we will, without question, be coming back to this restaurant.

Wow what a fantastic meal. We love a curry everywhere we go and every person in our party honestly felt that this was the absolute best curry we have EVER had! The flavours, the consistency and the service were all out of this world. Would highly recommend you give this restaurant a try when in Edinburgh.

Had dinner here tonight and it was absolutely delicious. There was a great vegetarian selection for both starters and mains. I had the chana puri and paneer masala which was so good. Portion sizes were just right, naan bread was lovely and the drinks were very extensive and everything was reasonably priced. The atmosphere was calm and at ease, something which is hard to come by these days, and the staff were attentive, humourous and engaging. We didn't go here during the government's Eat out to Help Out scheme, but all I can say is that Mumbai's Diner Club was not only cheaper but better value than the places we did go during August. I'll definitely be back, I've still so much of the menu to try!

Innovative serving of food located at a central spot in Edinburgh. Even though we didn't reserve a table, the staff very graciously accommodated us. Further more the chef very kindly made fresh daal in accordance with my mother's fasting requirements for which I'm very grateful. The naans are HIGHLY HIGHLY recommended for their delicious filling! The chicken Tikka was well made but could be more authentic. The innovative in-house desserts were very well presented and tasty.
