When entering the restaurant we were immediately made to feel welcome, our servers were very helpful and patient with us. Food arrived quickly and was to an outstanding standard. Our servers were very talkative and listened to any requests we had. The price was very reasonable for the standard of food. Will definitely visit again

Have walked past this place on many occasions and today a bunch of friends had arranged to eat here. Staff were fabulous. Couldn't fault the service. We had originally booked for 8 and 14 turned up but they accommodated us all. I ordered the roll with bacon and soft fried egg. Came perfectly cooked. Crispy bacon in a nice soft bap with a soft fried egg. Judging from what the other people ordered. I'd definitely return to try their full breakfast and freshly prepared smoothies.

After attempting to go for dinner at Earthy only to find it was fully booked we decided to give Di Giorgio a try. I walk past every day on my way to work and it's always looked good.

We certainly weren't disappointed. The staff are amazingly attentive and friendly, the food is delicious and all made fresh on site and the decor is beautiful. Lovely exposed brick work with photography of local sights hanging on the walls. My partner had the special; which this evening was poussin and I've never seen a moister poussin. I had the DG pasta which was just scrummy. Full of delicious chunks (yes, proper huge identifiable chunks) of mushroom, pancetta etc in a lovely creamy tomato sauce. The pasta was wonderfully al dente. All the offered desserts look delicious, the pistachio ice cream was particularly good.

To top off a fantastic meal you also get a little shot of limoncello as you leave; which I find a nice touch.

As for price it's definitely good value for money. A starter, two mains, a dessert, two drinks and a coffee came to £37.50 and the quality was fantastic.

Yum!. We moved across to just so we could go here for breakfast ..... well, not really but it's great to know you can be almost guaranteed friendly staff, a read of the papers, a delicious cooked breakfast, great prices and some of the best coffee in town!

Fabulous little cafe serving great breakfasts and quality lunch / brunch food. Great vibe and décor and usually friendly staff. I live locally but would go out of my way to eat here. The home baked cakes are very good too...

A very busy little place, the staff are extremely friendly, the food is really well priced, great portions and of course delicious! Taking away some baked goods is also a must if you can't fit it in!

Lovely Italian cafe to have a brunch, coffe and cake or lunch. Prices are reasonable, staff are lovely, food is just great. Eggs Benedict done to perfection, excellent ingredients, great ambience. There is a variety of Italian ice creams just at the entrance. The tiramisu looks gorgeous. Good variety of cakes too. Very recommended place!

The menu at Di Giorgio is indeed diverse, with a range of dishes covering typical brunch options, pasta, and other comforting meals. However, one dish that stands out in particular is their French toast. This is, without a doubt, the best French toast I have ever tasted! It's fluffy, delicious, and cooked to perfection, making it a must-try for anyone who visits. Do note that the portions are not for the faint-hearted. You definitely get your money's worth, as they are incredibly generous and filling. Moreover, the staff at Di Giorgio are incredibly friendly and attentive, adding to the overall experience. They go out of their way to ensure that you have everything you need and are always happy to offer recommendations if you're unsure about what to order.

Went in here with a friend for lunch. They were very welcoming and so helpful - managed to find us a table even though we had no booking and was quite busy. The service was fantastic!! Loved the coffee art and the food was delicious and great value for money 😊. Recommend the fruit smoothies as well - not a common find in Edinburgh. Definitely a hidden gem and will be back!!

I can't understand the negative reviews people have written about the service here: I found it smiley, friendly and attentive. Fairly average eggs Florentine, but full marks for a) serving breakfast all day (rare in Edinburgh) and b) my eggs Florentine had LOTS of yummy wilted spinach which wasn't at all watery. I would order it again, happily.

A real gem in Edinburgh city, perhaps the best looking cafe I’ve ever seen in the UK, so cozy and welcoming… My partner and I were so impressed by the impeccable service, the lovely and authentic Italian food with great portions at an accessible price, and the fact that we were able to dine inside with our dog! Thank you so much, we’ll be back next time we visit Edinburgh 😊

Beautiful place. Two females working this day. I got in towards closing time without even acknowledging they where about to close. I apologise and asked to take away. The woman was very kind telling me take a sit and do enjoy don't worry about time. I felt welcome, the ambient was peaceful. The Tiramissu was the best I've had since Canada which was 10 years ago. The muffins my partner loved it too. So for sure do visit this place and if you're near by do pop in, you won't regret it. They also serve food which I shall try on my next visit.

Lovely place, the lasagne is a must have. The staff are friendly and attentive. The only critique I have is that their wine is very limited but the amazing food makes up for that.
