The Painted Rooster - Edinburgh - Photo album

Came here for brunch and it did not disappoint - we took the big avocado breakfast, the eggs Benedict, the mango smoothie, the matcha latte and the cheese cake. Everything was fresh, very well presented and delicious. Weather was lovely so we could enjoy the outdoor seating area too ;) Highly recomm
If you're in the mood for some delicious food and great service, you can't go wrong with The Painted Rooster. I recently visited this lunch place and was blown away by the quality of the food and the attention to detail in its presentation and composition. From the moment I walked in, the polite an
Best chicken noodle soup I have EVER had. Incredible flavour. My husband, Joel had the chicken wrap! Also amazing! Such a cute spot near Dean’s Town. Love the decor and great staff! We by chance met the owner at the Scotsman lounge and her friends recommended we come. So glad we did!!
Full Scotish Breakfast was delicious and well filling. Nice tea and coffee options on the side. Recommendable!
Excellent!!!! I do not know how the staff could be friendlier as they were so perfect ! And kind and nice and patient, taking in count I had to translate to my non English speaking family. When the food arrived it was absolutely divine. Black pudding was delicious still trying to figure out what s
Good food, friendly people, and chill vibes. We had a lovely breakfast experience.
Excellent experience. Cozy, nice place, perfect for a rainy day. Top-quality ingredients and a bunch of vegetarian options, that are normally hard to find. There was a little delay in getting the food, but the wait was worthwhile. Pity the coffee is English, but it still gets 5 stars for the present
Small underground restaurant with fresh and excellent food. Workers are great. Maybe need a bit more of salmon on Egg benedict plate...
We stopped in after walking over from the airport bus stop while waiting to check in to our Airbnb. It was probably closer to lunch time (almost noon) but we had breakfast since we hadn't eaten yet today. We had poached egg on toast and scrambled egg on toast. Both were excellent. I had some appl
Sweet spot for breakfast on our trip. Country American decor & peppy 80s music. Felt very cozy. The mocha is wonderful. Great breakfast options & very filling!
Exceptional breakfast! Freshly cooked and delicious. Staff are also great.
The most tasty and delicious breakfast! This spot is a hug for your soul. All the most delicious and well prepared food you could want for breakfast or lunch. We ordered the Big Avocado breakfast and it tasted fresh and wholesome. The latte and Bloody Mary were also very noteworthy. When you want a
Excellent, excellent menu and lovely staff. Plenty of vegan and gluten free options as well as the classics. Orange juice was sublime. Not the cheapest, but worth it for quality of ingredients and vibe.
Neat, little place. Had breakfast here and was surprised to find vegan options. As a vegan (who eats copious amounts of bacon), it was an excellent opportunity to eat a little healthier during our trip. Had the Scottish breakfast with scrambled eggs, beans, vegan haggis (was good), potato patty (goo
Pleasent atmosphere in lovely interior caffe. The stuff is very polite and friendly. Highly recommend the coffee! Breakfast was very tasty.
Friendly staff, sizeable portions of delicious meals with hints of Polish influence. Legendary cheesecake and pierogi. Definitely highly recommended, despite being slightly pricey. EDIT. Update from 15/04 - still a great place. Pierogi as amazing as always, and the burger was flawless.
We had a lovely family brunch before the rugby…! The brunch was brill but the rugby was bleh. France won. Lovely service, lovely food, and brilliant atmosphere, definitely worth experiencing. Only slight downside is that it is very enclosed with no view to the street or natural daylight, but other
