B&d's Kitchen - Edinburgh - Photo album

What a diamond in the rough this place is! Not the best location, less than a mile from Murrayfield stadium and barely larger than a chip shop (only maybe 6 tables or less), but the food in this humble place was AMAZING, with exotic dishes I'd never seen before on a Chinese menu. There were Chinese
Twenty of us were here for a birthday party and we had a great evening. We booked well in advance and we had the whole restaurant to ourselves over two large round tables. The owners were able to help us with some dietary requirements and the evening was perfect. The menu is extensive and food delic
Got some authentic spiciness when ordering Szechuan beef stir fry and noodles takeaway with pork dumblings on the side. Highly recommended for friends of spicy Chinese food.
We ordered takeaway the other night and everything was spectacular. The menu was very clear for vegan options and allergens, which I really appreciated. Every dish was perfect. Huge portions and tasted fresh and flavourful. The tofu with cashews was so delicious and so was the veg chow mein. This is
Stopped in on the way home for work for a rare and week earned treat. Firstly, the hygiene rules are being meticulously followed. There is a table at the entrance with hand sanitizer and paper menus. Clean your hands, pick up your own menu (and take it home with you) then place your order at the co
I cannot stress enough how good this restaurant is. If you have to eat Chinese cuisine anywhere you have to try here!! The food is first class. Always freshly prepared to the highest quality. The staff are always friendly. They are always willing to make slight adjustments to suit your tastes too.
Cozy place with very good food in most cases. Not many tables, you should book if you want to eat in after 7. The salt chilli fried chicken is fantastic, and they do a tofu version too for vegetarians. The sweet and sour sauce is a bit weird to my taste but everything else we have eaten is a winner.
We ordered from B&D's for the first time tonight after seeing many recommendations. We were not disappointed. The food was excellent. Clearly freshly prepared. Super tasty. Big portions. We felt it was great value for money. This will be our go-to place from now on. Thank you!
Amazingly authentic food- spicy really is spicy, sour really is sour! Glad we booked as place filled up & we would've been disappointed. My friend ordered king prawns in garlic sauce & they really were good! Still partially shelled but I think that adds to the flavour. My ma po tofu was just incredi
Good quality Chinese takeaway, which is now my regular. It's surprisingly light and ingredients are always fresh and very tasty. Satisfying and doesn't leave you feeling sluggish as some takeaway food can.
Popped in last week & got the ginger & spring onion char sui, satay roast duck, barbeque ribs and they were perfect. The flavour, texture, quality of meat, lack of excess fat & sheer volumes of taste bud inspiring joy. The noodles & rice were done excellently. Felt fresh, great texture, great colour
Excellent hidden gem of a Chinese. We booked this out for my mother in law's 70th and they couldn't have been nice. They handled dietary requirements really well and also recommended delicious additions to what we had already chosen. The food was really lovely - freshly cooked and full of flavor. My
Absolutely great, best Chinese restaurant in Edinburgh by far. Do go for the specialty menu (You should order 24-48h in advance for some), they are *definitely* worth the wait! If no time to wait, Hakka and Hot Sand dishes are superb, truly recommended. Very friendly family staff.
Really enjoyed B&D’s Kitchen; tasty and hearty food served with a warm welcome. Will definitely go back
My favourite restaurant in the city. It's small but the food quality is excellent, and the range of dishes is fantastic. Check out the menu before you go as some dishes require ordering in advance. Try the pork hit sands dish, hands down my favourite.
Really nice home style chinese cooking lovingly made. Not many seats/tables for a sit in visit but they do take-away. Well worth visiting. Reasonably quick service or you can phone ahead and collect.
