É para mim o melhor pub de Edimburgo e tem também o melhor Haggis da Escócia.
Está situado na famosa Royal Mile.
Além da simpatia, o ambiente é de família e todas as noites tem música ao vivo.
Fenomenal !
This place was nice. Seemed like a very good mix of local and visitors. When our waitress got off she stayed at the bar for a few drinks with us and became a friend. There was live music at night but we left before it started.
Lovely place with a very Scottish look. The staff was very prompt . The place had a good choice of whiskies and really nice menu for food. One of those rare places with the infamous “Mars Fried Bar”.
First time in Edinburgh and visited this place on the recommendation of a friend.
It was fully occupied when we stepped in and had to wait for 10 mins to get a table. Servers were quite friendly and the service was warm.
Since, I never had Ale and wanted to try so asked the server which one to go for and he explained different types of Ale based on the taste, and I went for the Medium one guess it was Yellow one (Forgot the color). Along with that had starters 'Goat's Cheese & Caramelised Onion Brushetta' & 'Spicy Chicken Goujons', both were equally good and had a warm experience.
Overall, would recommend.
They usually do a pie and bangers special each month I decided to get the bangers and mash, and it was so satisfying. I couldn't stop eating the mash, even though my stomach had reached full capacity.
Get Your Haggis Here!. Travel guide recommended - Enjoyed the Steak and Mushroom Pie. My partner was intent on the Haggis... tried it, not bad as far as Haggis goes. Great atmosphere! Bon Appetit~
What a perfect spot to duck out of the December chill for a bite. Cozy, warm, and Christmas was in the air. Santa hat bedecked staff were so friendly and fun. Nice vegetarian options but beware when ordering the veggie fried sampler platter, it was enough for 4 people! Delicious and delightful! Will return if we ever find ourselves strolling down the exciting Royal Mile!
We came here for lunch over the Christmas period. Myself and my other half both had a locally caught haggis and then deep fried Mars bars for dessert. The service was friendly and the food was brilliant. I'd definitely come back
We ate here twice during our weekend stay in Edinburgh. The food was fantastic for what is quite an unassuming looking pub on the inside. Granted the feasting platter we shared on our first visit didn’t look very elegant, but everything was cooked well and it was just what we needed after arriving in the city from London. We returned for dinner before flying home, with my wife enjoying the bangers and mash in a giant Yorkshire pudding, while I had the Highland chicken stuffed with haggis, which was absolutely scrummy. Staff were very friendly on the whole, and the prices reasonable for the quality of both food and drink.
Really lovely traditional pub in a great location. Staff are friendly and they manage the COVID-19 restrictions really well.
Love the high tables and mirrors, with the live music being an added attraction in the evenings. The few outside tables are great for people watching. Definitely worth a visit.
We didn't take photos of the starters but rest assured they were also delicious. The staff were beyond friendly and the atmosphere is welcoming and warm. Best lunch in Edinburgh so far!
Highly reccomend
Excellent food and service. One important factor for us was our Black Lab Hades received a warm welcome. Lovely bowl of water too.
We arrived and there was not a table but the bar tender was very kind and helpful in getting us the first available table.
I got the dark fruit mangers cider and it was excellent. I got the bangers and mash which was excellent also.
I would 100% come back here and I would recommend it to anyone.
Took my sister and the kids today, the food was delicious 😋 and the staff were so friendly. The rugby was on and the atmosphere was really good 👍 kids had their flags cheering along with the crowd 👍 definitely recommend this place and will be back. X
Delicious food at a reasonable price. I would definitely reccomend their fish and chips along with fried mars bars. Staff is friendly and helpful.
Absolutely fantastic. Traditional Scottish food, we even tried haggis (freshly caught, haha). Wait staff was very helpful and friendly.
Food we ordered: Haggis, neeps, and tatties...bangers and mash...pie of the day.
We really enjoyed this place. The staff is lovely and good humored what’s the most important thing for us🫶🏼 thank you
Came here for lunch, was an excellent meal, great service and atmosphere. Well recommend. I'm a vegetarian and had the vege bangers and mash and haggis. Both were absolutely delicious. If you're walking up and down the royal mile this is the place to stop for lunch!
First time in Scotland and I tried the haggis here, it was delicious and savory!!!! The waiter is super nice too
Good pub where they pour a nice pint. Best deep fried mars bar and sticky toffee pudding I had on my travels in Scotland and Ireland. I know it’s a touristy thing, but this dessert was really delicious. Not giving them 5 stars as service was not the greatest. Especially one of the staff who we observed being very condescending to an ESL individual who was asking very reasonable questions about the menu.
Located as the name suggests right on the Royal Mile.
Think the clientele would generally be tourists.
We came in here as we had read that the Guinness was one of the better Guinness that you'd find in Edinburgh.
Whilst the Guinness was not as good as you'd find in Ireland, it certainly was one of the better pints you would get in Edinburgh.
Friendly staff.
I cannot praise this place enough!! The food was outstanding and highly exceeded my expectations. I had Scottish IPA, Haggis bons (gotta try the Scottish National dish), Halloumi fries and deep-fried Mars bars for dessert. Seriously so, so good!
The staff was super friendly and accommodating in helping me choose food and drinks.
10/10 would highly recommend!!
Great ambiance, tasty food that was serve on a timely fashion. Great service
Delicious Meals which is nice prepared.
We had the traditional Haggis and the Chicken Haggis, well flavoured. Good price and awesome atmosphere. I will eat here again...
Food is amazing, drinks also and it has a really warm cosy atmosphere.
