Deacon's House Cafe - Edinburgh - Photo album

Great food, Amazing service!! Plus good location! I visited to this cafe twice during my trip in Edinburgh. At first all staffs were kind and friendly. I highly recommend the cream tea! Scones were so good šŸ˜ And the cream wasnā€™t typical one I used to have in London, it looked homemade and fresh.
Really enjoyed breakfast here. Waited outside with others until it opened at 9.30. I would say it was full within 30 minutes. When we left there was a big queue to get in. We only had granola and porridge but both were delicious and hit the spot. Friendly service, would recommend
What a gem!!! Absolutely lovely food! The place is adorable and the staff is so friendly. We had soup, toasties, cakesā€¦it was all amazing. We also had sconesā€¦.the best ones I have ever had. We will be back again. They have tables outside so lovely to take my dog.
A highlight in my short stay in Edinburgh. One of the best scones I ever had. The atmosphere is great with a lovely service and nice people. I of course recommend the Cream tea set but there are also many other great dishes.
Very good place to get some eats. Traditional Scottish breakfast was good for my first time. As an American, I don't care for it on the whole, but I did enjoy everything on the plate. I likely won't order again on this trip just because it's not my thing. Very reasonably priced. The ham and cheese t
Beautiful cafe tucked into An alley. Had sandwiches and a quiche. Sandwiches were good, but could have used more meat in them. One slice was not enough.
I loved Deacon's House Cafe. Stopped for breakfast because they offer porridge...and it was wonderfully delicious and better than expected. I chose the porridge with red fruits-- red raspberries, red currants, and blueberries--and it was only slightly sweet and with the fruit required no additiona
Delicious Scottish breakfast. Arrived about 20 minutes after they opened on a Sunday morning, and although the inside seating was busy, there was no one sitting outside. Food was delivered quickly.
Wonderful staff, delicious food! The potato leek soup was scrumptious, but the highlight was definitely the fresh out of the oven scone with Nutella added šŸ˜‹
Best scottish breakfast in town! We really enjoyed our breakfast, good product and really well done! Salmon, scones with lots of flavours and toppings, and one of the best or probably the best capuccino I've ever tried! Service is amazing and the place is really nice, smell history everywhere!
It's a small cafe. But there are many customers, and the atmosphere is good. I heard that scones are especially good, but I didn't feel like they were really good. It's a historical place, but I don't know what it's about.
Nice place, food is great, recommend Scons. Interior lighting need to be improved, lights should all warm.
If you walk The Royal Mile, you will find hidden places where you can breathe elegance and history. This small business is one of them. It has an indoor and outdoor area, both have a great atmosphere. The cold and rainy weather makes you crave something hot, which they provide you with super auth
Cute little place. Friendly staff, good service. I had the Scrambled eggs with bacon and the eggs were a little bland for my taste. I did have a croissant with jam that was spot on, however, and the flat white was the best I had in Edinburgh. Would go back when Iā€™m here again.
Had a lovely lunch here. Had to wait 10 minutes for an inside seat but we donā€™t mind the wait as itā€™s always delicious and cosy here. I had a lovely leek and potato soup which was thick and creamy and then one of the best scones with cream and strawberry jam that Iā€™ve ever had. I love the wall paint
A lovely little cafe, they squeezed me in even though it was busy. All the staff were incredibly attentive. I overheard one of them very clearly explaining the gluten free options to another table. The tuna and cheese ciabbatta was great, with high quality bread (tasted homemade?!). Only slight prob
We had the pleasure of having breakfast here whilst on holidays. The menu has good healthy choices and reasonable prices. Tasty food and great coffee. The staff were happy, helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. There are toilets available across the path way outside. Warm and cosy at
The food was amazing! We ordered several dishes and every single one was really tastefull. You do have to self order, but the staff brings it to your table. Also the cakes looked very good, but we were stuffed with no more room for cake.
