Nobles, in my humble opinion, serves up one of the best brunches in Edinburgh. Leith is absolutely spoiled for choice when it comes to great food and Nobles is yet another gem in its sparkling crown. If you’re in the area, do yourself a favour, get in here and fill your belly with lots of brunch-y goodness!
I really enjoyed my visit to Nobles. The place was buzzing on a Saturday night so we were lucky we booked a table in advance. I really liked the overall feel and the decor. Nobles feels like a pub but the food is spot on quality! I had scallops for a starter which were one of the best ones I've had in my life! They were cooked to perfection! For a main course I had the moules-frites which were very tasty and came with fries. I had a pint to accompany my meal and I left very happy! I'll definitely be back for dinner or to try their brunch menu!
This is a great bar. The inside is impressive with stained glass windows. They have live music on some nights and the food is tip top especially the breakfast.
Fantastic meal and excellent service! Waitresses were witty and fun. Prices were very reasonable and tap selection was great. Check it out.
Nice windows and atmosphere. Came here Saturday morning. Brunch menu range is very decent. I had sweet corn fritters, very nice. Will try more things next time!

Yummmm !. I live in Glasgow but everytime i'm through I'm not stuck on where to go for a drink and some good grub! Everytime i've went I've had nothin to complain about! Portions were pleantyful, price was nice &food full of flavours :) Nobles comes well recommended for a reason !
We went for Sunday brunch. Pancakes with yogurt and fruit and eggs florentine. The food was all great. Just the right amount of everything. Only down side was our order seemed to take a long time to reach us.
Best bar in Edinburgh! This is my favorite spot for a great meal in relax and welcoming atmosphere. Really good prices and fantastic service. You can tell it's run by people with a passion for what their doing and they have a brilliant line up of live bands playing too. Can't wait for my Sunday brunch there.
Great food. Went there for food on Friday, we had the Pork Collar and Rabbit Burger. Both super tasty and washed down with some Black Isle Blonde (not a real ale pub but a great selection of quality drink). Really impressed with the 'pub' food and i'd class it as pub food only due to the prices.
Fantastic mix of top food, drink, atmosphere, and live music. Highly recommend to anyone for a night out, the bands that night were great fun and very original.

Great food and service. A good friend had suggested that we try Nobles, taking his advice to we went that evening. Leith has an unusually high concentration of great restaurants and bars so new places need to be pretty special to get noticed. We were not let down by the recommendation and had the most pleasant time. There is an informal feel to the service but I was aware of that I was being very well catered for. We shall be returning soon hopefully for some more of the same!

Really good food.. I don't drink - but have been a fan of Nobles in the old days - and went again recently since it re-opened under new management.
I go purely for the food, you understand.
My partner had the rabbit-burger which could not be shared as it was 'that good'.
'Get your own'...
But I wanted to a simple snack - and had ordered a Cranachan and was saving myself for that.
I managed to snaffle som fantastic chips - but that was it.
The Cranachan was the best I ever tasted - even better than my mum's.
It was also in a hige glass I thought I'd never manage to finish. Silly me - of course I finished it -
and also managed to get some of the partner's Chocolate Brownie dessert.
That was amazing too. You've never tasted a pudding as good as this - believe me.
I'm going back this Sunday to treat myself to a proper lunch - of three courses.
I'll have to fast for a couple of days after - but it will be work it.
The fish and chips sounds good to me.
(as a non-foodie aside - the collection of old postcards decorating the walls in the sparkling Ladies Room is a joy.)
Nobles open. All of those who have known the bar over the years and various incarnations will be very glad to know that it has re-opened and under new ownership ( Myself, Niall & partner, Fay)
There is no chance of being served Pollock in place of the mighty haddock and our staff are very friendly and polite.
(The Haddock supper is served in a crisp beer batter with home made chips & Tartar or chippy sauce, it's very good!)
There is free live music every Friday and Saturday, a great brunch menu Saturday & Sunday and various mid week goings on!

THERE ALWAYS SEEMS to be a lively atmosphere when you visit Nobles in Leith....The opening act for me was saffron and gin cured Scottish salmon for £5.95. It can be difficult to balance the flavours when curing, but this was spot on. The notes of gin enhanced the subtle salmon flavours and cut through the creaminess of a delicious remoulade, with the help of the citrus dressing. Meanwhile...
I’ve been in Nobles a fair few times before, but never to have something to eat. Usually I’ve been in for a few drinks with work colleagues. The bar is close to both my workplace and my home, I’m not sure why it’s taken me nearly a year to pop in for something to eat. Nobles has a rather distinctive exterior. Louise described it as being ‘piratey’. Stained glass windows add a touch of character and appealing plants grow along the top of the bar front. I can think of few better pub dining experiences I’ve had, of late. Accordingly, I’d be happy to recommend that you pay them a visit, soon, as I have a strong feeling that you’ll be as impressed as we were.

Nobles Scottish breakfast and the French toast is just yummy!! Don't order both for yourself though as you might not be able to move!
The food is always consistent and the menu offers a variety of slightly more sophisticated options than your usual pub fayre, while the atmosphere creates a place you’ll definitely find yourself visiting again and again.
We are huge fans of Nobles for a quiet or sometimes not so quiet drink. It has a great atmosphere but had never eaten here. We headed down a few Sundays ago and sampled what they had on offer for Brunch. We arrived about 11.30-12pm and the place was very busy. Clearly everyone else knew how it good it was by the time we were seated and had ordered the place was full.
We had the full cooked breakfast and the eggs anyway which were poached along with some bacon and cherry tomatoes.
Everything was fantastic. It was cooked well, not dripping in grease and tasted very fresh. The poached eggs were fantastic and served on two big bits of toasted crusty bread. We both left feeling very full and planning our next return.
Nobles is a firm favourite of my work colleagues and friends.
It's certainly the best bar in Leith and up there with the best in Edinburgh, it's busy and consistent.
The food is excellent and the staff are attentive but relaxed, the pub itself is also beautiful.
Highly recommended for either lunch, dinner or a night out.
Hopped off the tram on the way home from town for a cocktail. Great service always in this beautiful traditional bar. Well curated selection of craft beers, wines and a pleasing range of cocktails. Drinks were well made - would recommend

We were there early evening and enjoyed the table service for our drinks order.
Also enjoyed being able to hold a conversation without having to raise our voices.

A very nice pub in Leith, which we visited for a late breakfast. It's beautifully decorated, with a really nice atmosphere. The brunch was pretty good and we a lot to choose from. We had the full Scottish breakfast, the Salmon Eggs Benedict and the Fried chicken burger, all very good.
Nobles has a charming atmosphere, and the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. The meals are comforting and delicious, and I thoroughly enjoyed every bite. While the interior of the pub may be getting a bit outdated, this in no way detracted from my experience. However, it would be great to see a refurbishment in the very near future to elevate the space and make it even more enjoyable for future customers.
We went for the first time last weekend for brunch. Some of our friends love this place, and we get why. The food was delicious, some of the best pancakes I had had in a very long time. The restaurant/café itself is very cosy, beautifully decorated and the staff friendly & professional. We paid about £50 for two adults and our kiddo. Our son loved the waffles, and we enjoyed delicious coffee as well. Nobles is a great spot to catch up with friends as well. It’s cosy, not loud, with a lovely atmosphere. We’ll come back.
Ordered their beef burger and eggs Benedict. The taste was pretty good! The quantities weren’t that good though. The serving sizes were quite small considering the prices but the taste was nice. The ambience of the place is good and the decor was good too. The location is quite central.
Nobles is one of the best bars in Leith - great atmosphere, fast friendly service and super food and drink. This is quality so there is a price to pay - but worth the bit extra - tonight it was a table for one - excellent fish and chips and good beer - as always a quality choice - oh and now a tram stop just outside the door !
A really nice place in Leith to grab something to eat or just to have a few drinks. Staff is very friendly. As lot of places in Leith, the place is dog friendly so you can bring your furry friends too. If you want to try a proper full Scottish breakfast though, I would recommend to have it elsewhere.
Loved this restaurant. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome and nothing was to much trouble. The food was excellent and we were so comfortable at our table we stayed for cocktails. I think we were the last to leave! Thanks to all the staff for a lovely evening.
Lovely place, just a bit busy, I think the waitress didn't have time to ask our 8 people table if we like the food... Cold service but profecional enough during taking the order.
