Fishers In The City - Edinburgh - Photo album

We could enjoy variety of hot seafood platter. Lobster, langoustine, mussels, oyster and clams were amazing. We ordered salmon for main dish as well, it was amazing. However I am not sure this restaurant is very special or impressive. I feel it is just normal fancy seafood restaurant.
BBackground: It is a seafood restaurant located in the heart of Edinburgh's New Town. The restaurant has been serving seafood for over 20 years and is known for its fresh and locally sourced ingredients. Ambience: The interior is simple with understated decor, but the atmosphere is still pleasant a
Loved fishers by the shore so decided to give the second location a try too since it’s closer to our hotel. Still pretty good, but I definitely preferred the shore location. The shore location has more variety other items (foraged mushrooms, pasta, crab toast, soft shell crab sandwich). Keeping in m
This is one of my favorite restaurants to visit when I am in Edinburg. I have been there few times as foods so tasty and staffs are friendly and attentive. My fav dish to order is mussels in creamy sauce that remind me of Brussels. Highly recommend to book in advance as it’s always busy.
Wow! Best mussels in the city hands down. Mussels are cooked in a cream white wine sauce with garlic and it was absolutely addictive. Moreover, the cleanliness of the mussels was also spot on as there weren't any sandy surprises waiting for us in our mouths. The scallops, langoustine, and haggis bon
Absolutely WONDERFUL experience all around. Our server, Ada, was soooo kind, friendly and attentive. Thank you so much for the well wishes and hope to see you next year, Ada! Ordered the classic fish and chips, as well as the half dozen oysters. Both were extremely fresh and delicious! The creme bru
This is a spectacular restaurant. The food was delicious. Really really delicious. Service was attentive without being fussy or too much. The mains went too quickly to get pictures I’m afraid. Oysters were just divine. But here are the deserts.
Exceptional foods. Hot seafood platter is very yummy. The deserts are dying for. Cream brûlée and sticky toffee pudding are my favorites. I have tried several sticky toffee puddings somewhere else but I’m telling you this restaurant makes the best.
Been twice already. Both times we had the fish and chips. I know I'm lacking imagination but it was very good. Fun, personable staff. Not to loud in the bar area. Reservations recommended but they were nice enough to squeeze us in the first night we went.
We loved our dinner here. The food was fresh and delicious, every dish was yummy. The service is incredible and the drinks offering is great. I took my family from out of town and they loved it!
Perfect place for seafood lovers. Food and atmosphere are excellent. Service is impeccable. Crews were attentive, constantly filling up our water, changed our plates when filled with empty shells. Ordered a dozen of Fresh Oysters, Cold Seafood Platter for 2 and a Hot Seafood Platter for 2. Oysters
I dont know what to say about this place except WOW.. here's what we ordered (all 10/10) for starters, the salt&pepper squid.. the king scallops with sweetcorn salsa.. and the tuna tartare.. mains we got the halibut with babaganoush.. and the Orkney king scallops brown shrimp with tender stem brocco
Lucky to have walked in and got a table (last second cancellation). Great staff took very good care of us. I had the salmon and haddock soup and fish cakes. The flavours were distinct and subtle as only a great chef can achieve. Mmmmm - at the memory of it.
The seafood platter is lovely in flavor, but the quality of the local lobster and langoustine is not that good, if not frozen then stayed a while in the tank. The scallop of Orkney is nice. However, the seafood spaghetti we ordered for kids is the best.
One of the best dining experiences for me while in Edinburgh. I loved the food, the service staff, the atmosphere, and that it was just a little bit off the crowded path. The fish and chips were great, but the fish pie clinched - perhaps the fish pie ever!
Best food ever had in Edinburgh. Fresh lobster and cod, perfectly cooked. Enjoyed the desserts as well. Was a little suspicious whether it’s worth the money cuz it’s quite expensive (45+ per person) but after dinner would definitely want to go again!!!
I went there with my wife for my birthday. Everything went smoothly, from the ease of online reservation to the wonderful place it is.
Good food, good atmosphere, great staff. A bit on the pricey side.
The food was absolutely amazing and I highly recommend this restaurant. The oysters were very fresh and I ordered the Indonesian curry which was very good. Staff was very friendly and service was good. It was our best meal in Edinburgh!
