From the moment we walked in the service was excellent and continued to be throughout our lunch.

We had two boys under 6 years old with us and the staff very kindly split a main course between them as there is understandably no children's' menu.

The food was top quality and the range of wines is absolutely first class with something to suit everybody's taste and pocket.

The atmosphere is relaxing and decor tasteful. A must visit wine bar and eatery when in Edinburgh.

Whigham's is often a lively spot on a Friday night with the drinks after work crew! We've been a few times for drinks but not eaten here yet. Staff friendly and happy to help you pick out a wine. They have a good selection of craft beers and cocktails on the menu. Perfect for dates as they have little alcoves you can hide yourself away in.

A nice and lively bar right in the heart of Edinburgh city centre, just steps from Princes Street! Descending from street level, you’ll find yourself in this unusual yet elegant bar, with neat little subterranean niches to one side, and the main bar opening up to the right. The niches are great for a more private drink, with padded semicircular seating and table in the centre. Anyone over about 5ft 6in tall we want to be aware that the entry is low, so mind your head on! A nice selection of beers and other beverages are on offer, along with a nice food menu to sate your hunger.

Great atmosphere, wide seating area and plenty wines choices we had a white dry bottle and it was delicious, we didn’t have any food but the dishes looked pretty tasty and well presented! They also have a outdoor seating area, very central location on the edge of Charlotte square. I didn’t take any pictures this time but I would definitely go again. There are also bar seats so solo wine drinkers will not feel left out 😊 Perfect for a posh wine date or an elegant work dinner!

A big pub with a restaurant we enjoyed our food and drink here. Seafood features a lot in the menu as does lots of Scottish produce. Went for the seafood platter for two and it is indeed a feast, we had fries and bread too to keep it company. Innes & Gunn original time wash it down. Didn’t stop there, had sticky toffee pudding and ice cream and Anster Cheddar and Highland Blue cheeses.

Always a delightful wine bar to visit with very good food and excellent service. One of the few original bars/restaurants still trading in Edinburgh. Highly recommended for a drink or meal.
