It is one of the best places to get souvenirs in Edinburgh. Huge selection of clothing and guft food items. Probably not the cheapest place to get plain shortbread/fudgr/tablet. if you are willing to pay extra for the pretty packaging or want unusual flavours, this is a great place. This was the only place on Princes Street where I found tartan gift bag. I made up up my own scottush goody bags.
If you just make one stop for souvenir shopping, this place is it. Not only is it a Princes St original (make sure you check out their shopfront), they even have a tearoom (unfortunately closed for most of January.)
They have the biggest variety of all possible gifts from Scotland - notably the biggest range of whisky fudges, biscuits, alcohol samplers, but so many fashion items too, even slate homeware which I didnt see anywhere else - with a range of prices. It had a real magic bazaar feel to it (with a Scottish twist), because of the size of the shop & the dizzying amount of choices.
Also helpful that they have promos, sales items by the counters & bundle deals for those who need a haul to bring home to family & friends.
If you're looking for generic china-made souvenirs like magnets, keychains, they admittedly have a smaller variety of these, but you can head to any shop on the Royal Mile for those anyway. Just past that section is walls of tiny bottles of whisky, gin (& there might have been rum too), representing all the distilling regions & so many of the distillers. This section is worth exploring even on its own just to see everything. Had to stop myself from getting a tiny bottle of evetything! Of course, they have the full bottles as well, which you can ask them to pack for your luggage situation.
Usually I buy souvenirs from this shop as they have good price deals and collections. Located at the city centre high street this shop is a wee little gem
This store has a lot of variety of items. Was able to find most of what we wanted at this store!
Very good selection of Harris Tweed garments at good prices. One of the few places we found that stock smaller sizes of mens blazer/jackets. Genuinely brilliant service from Ian who patiently served us
Great shop , great prices, staff very helpful, will be back soon
Great shop with an array of products to suit all needs and tastes. Price ranges to suit everyone from a low budget to high end and splurge.
From the outside look like things will be expensive but there are affordable products. I was with a friend and nipped in to have a look. A huge selection of jams and spreads as well as shortbreads of all kind.
Then middle of the shop is Tartan products from clothes to accessories like broaches, purses, wallets etc, then the back of the store - Whiskey and Gin for days - the selection is bountiful and souvenirs - Keyrings, magnets, tea-towels, the lot!
Don't know the name of the guy who was in there at the time at the back but he was very helpful to my friend who wanted to buy some of the miniature whisky bottles and knew his stuff. He had a good sense of humour too!
I bought a shot-glass for £2.50 and The "Smallest wee" bottle of whisky for £1.60. By the till, I picked up a nice commemorative Platinum Jubilee Magnet of the Queen!
If you are in the area, drop by because there is something for everyone and plenty to choose from. A great souvenir shop!
Lots of slections for souvenirs and traditional wear. Service was also great. Ruchi was very kind and helpful
This is an amazing shop in edinburgh, scotland to shop soveniers, woollen cloths, biscuits, chocolates, fridge magnets and many more.... with very affordable prices. The staff is very helpful which makes shopping easy. Very nice place.
Great store to pick up some gifts if you're a tourist, very friendly and helpful staff. We love the jackets, scarfs and caps we picked up.
It was a very nice shop, everyone was helpful. I was able to ship my package home. I had a very nice light lunch upstairs. Downstairs, I was introduced to Violet gin made in Scotland.... it was amazing!
Lovely traditional Scottish shop. Staff so friendly. Family feel. Great selection. Don't go to any other Scottish shop this is the Edinburgh one. Happy shopping.
