Great aesthetic, combining bright and cheery with Edinburgh’s atmospheric stonework. Okay coffee, although a little small for my liking. Super friendly staff.
Great food, nice coffee and a nice atmosphere.
Service was also nice.
We came here early in the morning to have breakfast and it was a lovely experience.
I had the bacon waffle, it was a great belgium waffle which was very yummy. The bacon ontop of it was also really nice. The salad on the side was
Their special, St. Giles Waffle that has cheese, syrup and bacon has a unique taste. Loved it and ate it too fast to be able to photograph it beforehand!
Their shortbread is also quite enjoyable.
What attentive and sweet service. We felt so cozy and welcome.
Great coffee shop to relax and regaining energy after long walks on the cobblestone.
Thanks for the wonderful time.
Friendly attentive staff, quickly got sat, drinks arrived quickly I got the Edinburgh Mist, which is similar to a London Fog and he got a Cappuccino we both liked our drinks, the House Special waffle with melted Brie was interesting and tasty although wish it was a bit crispier. absolutely lovely staff, good price but portions are kind of small
A small cafe/bar offering an excellent selection of good quality drinks and snacks. Nice, French-ish styling, bright and airy with a busy, intimate atmosphere. We had cups of English breakfast tea and watched croissant with cheese and tomato and a brown bacon roll arrive at the next table - we brief
Sightseeing with some visitors in the city and needing some refreshments we tried St Giles Cafe and Bar. It is a delightful place. We had a range of coffees and the very excellent Edinburgh Mist with Earl Grey tea.
The staff were super helpful and attentive. A great place for a snacks and drinks.
Beautiful place. We ended up here as we were just walking. The Edinburgh Mist tea was amazing!
What a perfect place. The staff were so friendly and attentive. The menu had a great selection and keep an eye out in the specials board. The ginger beer was spot on. To finish we had scones warmed up and every so slightly toasted - yum!

My two kids loved the croissants and sitting out on the patio. Best chai latte I've had in Scotland. Wonderful service as well!
Perfect brunch/lunch stop just a few mins walk from the castle! Coffee tasted absolutely amazing and the food was equally as tasty! The atmosphere was lovely and staff were friendly, couldn’t recommend more🫶
Nice place for a coffee and waffles and pastries. if you are around St Giles cathedral. Serves breakfasts and lunches with sandwiches and an expansive selection of mixed drinks served to late afternoon. Friendly staff and atmosphere.
Nice little café, not too busy when we arrived but got very busy as we were leaving and for good reason really good atmosphere and reasonably priced food and drink
Friendly and welcoming. Only stopped on for a cold drink to get out of the heat. Nice atmosphere, menu looked great...was being good as we are booked for dinner in a few hours 😋
