Been in here quite a few times as it’s right next to where we live. Best burritos ever! The small is still massive and really filling. Great value for money and friendly staff! A must visit if in the Tollcross area.

As much as I do have a little soft spot for Pinto, I was pretty impressed with Taquito. For value of money, it is the place to go. £5 for a small burrito and a can of juice, they call is a small but it's a great size and very filling. I'm guessing a large must be the size of my head... The burrito itself was very fresh tasting and the service was fairly quick. If you are on the hunt for a good burrito, I would highly recommend popping into Taquito over Pinto!

Taquito is a small Mexican street food place on Tollcross. They're very straight forward. You can choose if you want a burrito, tacos or quesadilla. Then you choose your meat - pork, chicken, beef or simply vegetarian and you choose your filling. They do a lunch deal for a burrito and a can for £5 which is a great value. The burrito I had was very tasty I went for a spicy salsa which was just to my taste. Nice fresh ingredients and a friendly quick service. They have a small table to sit down if you don't want a take away. This is a great alternative to Pinto which is just around a corner. Taquito is more tasty, cheaper and independent! Go try them ;)

Fantastic place for a quick tasty bite to eat. Normally I get my food to go but there is a small seating area inside.

To order first choose your main ingredient; chicken, pulled pork, beef or maybe chorizo. Then for their main meal you can either have a burrito, fajita, nachos or quesadillas. There are also lots of sauces that you can choose to go on top. My personal favourite is the chorizo fajita which I tried out of curiosity and it was delicious. I will definitely be trying it again. Another favourite is the beef nachos with extra cheese which is also very tasty.

The prices are very affordable while the staff are efficient but not that overly friendly though as the transaction is quite quick it doesn’t impact the transaction.

JULIAN REVIEWS: Taquito Great value, great tasting burrito place. I had the smokey pork burrito with everything except guacamole. It was delicious. Succulent pork and fresh extras. Nice and thin tortilla so you're not just eating flour. They toast the burrito after they've filled it, giving it a nice crispy finish. Large burrito + any drink for £7, can't go wrong. Large burrito will fill you up for sure.

Great spot for a quick burrito! This place grills the burritos after filling them which I think is a nice touch that not other spots do. They were closed for ages over lockdown but they're back open now until 7pm every day apparently.

My favourite burrito place in Edinburgh. Closest to the real thing I've had in Scotland/outside of north america. Tasty, good portion sizes, and very reasonably priced. Staff are always welcoming and friendly.

Biggest and best burrito experience I've had since moving to Edinburgh! He must have a secret for folding those burritos, mine was a beast! I was def a happy customer. Edit: Been a few times now, never disappointed. Love how affordable it is too!

Probably my favourite Mexican eatery in Edinburgh. Great burritos, generous sizes at a very reasonable price. A "small" chicken burrito is currently £4.20 and I'm never left wanting more food. There's only a small amount of seating so better if you're happy to eat on the move or by the canal nearby. Cash only but ATM just outside.

I stumbled upon taquito one night and fell in love. Excellent value and food. Really tasty and I felt like i got a generous amount of food for what I paid. The regular size burrito is a really good size for a decent meal, and if you're really hungry the large will do. Warning, I brought my friend who can't deal with spice and she couldn't handle the hot sauce on my burrito- we had to go and buy ice creams for her to recover! However she loved the normal hot sauce on hers!

Best burrito I’ve ever had! Got the small veggie burrito for £4, it certainly wasn’t small and packed so much flavour. What a bargain, it’s rare to find something so substantial for the price. Staff was so friendly too! Thanks again guys.

One of my favourite burrito places in Edinburgh. The staff are always polite and helpful, and their ability to wrap what seems like a mountain of food into a relatively small tortilla is always impressive. The prices are some of the smallest I've seen in Edinburgh for burritos.

Super place with really fresh, lovely, tasty food. I had soft tacos and they were divine and really thoughtfully made with tofu too. Fresh, healthy and so tasty!

Seriously incredible burritos, huge and great flavour, heat (if you want it) and value for money. Burritos here are so big you’ll feel bad for the staff having to roll em, but it’s okay cus they’re professionals.

The burrito I had was amazing! I am a vegetarian so had the vegetable burrito and my boyfriend had the smoked pork. If you are looking for a good burrito I would definitely recommend here, very tasty!!

Right next to the Cameo this is a great stop of for a quick bite to eat before a film. The place isn't the nicest inside, but you can get a tasty BBQ pulled pork burrito and a drink for £4. Friendly staff and quick service. Seats are available but if it's sunny it's always nice to enjoy your burrito on the meadows!

Worked a little bit like subway, you chose your "type" (i had fajita), and your toppings. Then it went away to be cooked. The price was right, it was super tasty, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The only negative comment I had was that the fajita resulted in a little puddle of water dripping out the bottom. I think this was from the veg, and that it wasn't a burrito so there was no rice to soak it up.

I am from Los Angeles. Therefore I am obsessed with Mexican food. This is the closest place to real Mexican cuisine (burritos) in Edinburgh. The tortillas do not appear to be made in house which is my biggest grievance but that is the expected standard in Edinburgh. I wouldn’t go anywhere else for burritos in Edinburgh.
