Nice looking pub and friendly welcome. Bonus is that they serve 3 West beers. Not tried the food but it looks decent. They have a 2 for 1 on desserts so maybe next time.

Great selection of beers on draft. My fab west beers. Plenty tv screens for watching football also. Food menu looks decent although not tried any. Burgers look good value.

4 Jun 2023 Tired from our delayed train trip from London, we just wanted to have a nice casual local dinner, and this place turned out perfect - Traditional pub vibe was spot on. They had roasts (we went for triple roast - pork loin, turkey, beef) with the British side-dish yorkshire pudding (free top-up as well as the gravy and potatoes) which was exactly what we were hoping to have. It was really satisfying, and I had one of the nicest yorkshire pudding. They had great selection of beers and even whiskys as well!!

We went for a lunch. The place is very pretty. The beer and cider were great! The bathrooms pretty and clean. The hunter chicken very tasty. I’m not given them 5 stars because My hubby’s chicken tikka masala was bland, mostly a soup barely any chicken in it.

The place has amazing taps , I tried the classic Stewart 80 shilling and inns and gunns mango in the run both were unique to their taste and boby. They do serve food , I didn't had this time, hoping next time would be lucky to eat the grills the mixed one , they sounded tasty and appealing. Overall the experience was good and place is photogenic

Great pub. My grandson wanted to watch the rugby, so we booked a week or so before we went to Edinburgh for the weekend , which turned out to be a great decision as it was packed. Great atmosphere food looked great, but we had already eaten. i would have given it 5 stars, but they did not have any 0%Gin not everyone can drink alcohol for different ie medical reasons but like to feel like they are having a drink instead i was reduced to J2O .

Great find, lovely atmosphere, food was great, prices very reasonable, clean. The management and staff clearly value the service they provide! Highly recommended! Dog friendly with treats and water available. Plenty of TV screens for major events but maintains a friendly environment with spaced out tables and seating.

We had fish pie and chicken, tasted really good , but I would have liked a little bit more gravy on my chicken , very nice service and friendly. Recommended.

Enjoyed the fish and chips on our first evening in Edinburgh. Tam and his service were outstanding. We had an outstanding Scottish Tennets beer and a Scotch Whiskey a bit smokey for dessert. Food, drinks and service were above board. Highly recommend for a casual evening out and about.

Staff are nice and the food is good. Stuff on tap lacking excellent quality beer and cider (eg. Stewarts Brewing), but there's enough to keep me mostly content, though yearning. They'll put on any sporting event you're after, which I really appreciate as a fan of the obscure. The music is quite irritating and evocative of an overarching parent company trying to pander.

Traditional Scottish food at it finest! Tucked away off the main market street, this fine Pub has amazing service. Small selection of beer and ciders but all the ones that count. Highly recommend seeking them out when you are visiting!

First time in for lunch. Food ok but a bit uninspired. Wine nice and very reasonable. Service good. Would I go back? Probably. Would opt for main dish next time instead of sharing plates as several were not available.

Nice traditional Edinburgh pub. Live music the night we visited with a lively atmosphere. Felt like more locals visit than tourists. Loved the under road private cellar snugs, fitted out with TV's. It's worth a look.

Had lunch here today, June 4th. It was excellent, food was good, service was great. They hold true to their promise of unlimited yorkies, roasties and gravy. All at a very reasonable price.
