What a wonderful café! Such a charming atmosphere with two of the friendliest, most personable people servicing. We came in right before a sudden rush of lunchers, but the two managed to be very timely with our order. I forgot to snap a pic of their tomato basil soup, which I had with a great seeded brown bread. It's truly the best I've ever had, with a smooth texture and noteworthy basil flavor coming through. The juice was devine, truly, and the last time I had apple juice that amazing was at a cider festival. My husband and his friend had the Zen and Joy, which they both really enjoyed. They're Italian, and were impressed by the espresso and macchiato! My husband and I tried the pistachio brownie and whoooaaaa!! So delicious. I got a cinnamon bun for takeaway. 😋

Decided to stop by this café while waiting for our flight. The service was amazing and the breakfast was the best we had in the Morningside area. Such a calming and inviting space. What a perfect place to have our last meal in Edinburgh!

We had been out and about in town and were in need of sustenance. Mugs Cafe came into view and looked just the job. I fancied something savoury and ordered the hawiian toastie. Ham,pineapple and montery cheese on thick brown bread with fresh coleslaw and salad. Simply delicious. Finished of with a very tasty caramel latte. Didn't have room for a cake as well but my wife said the apple turnover was perfect with her cup of tea. Service was excellent and staff/owner friendly. I will recommend and would definitely return.

I loved my break here. Homemade waffles with banana and maple syrup and an almond flat white. It’s true it wasn’t super fast service but I wanted a calm and relaxing stop. Be patient - it’s worth it.

A really great local cafe - a really good and creative selection of home made cakes, lovely coffee. The staff are really welcoming too. Much, much better than the chain coffee shops nearby.

My first visit, I had a very nice coffee and bacon and black pudding on a morning roll. Cost about £7.50. Very pleasant.
