1886 Restaurant - Edinburgh - Photo album

Very enjoyable, a warm welcome with very pleasant helpful staff. Well presented food and very enjoyable. πŸ€” Had the Salmon... Can't imagine whisky in my sausages... πŸ˜‚ Glad we came.
We were visiting for afternoon tea which was enjoyable. The downside was that we were early and were the only folk in the restaurant. For our taste, we would have preferred less of the very sweet cakes. The staff were lovely, extremely attentive, well we were the only guests there! Lovely situation,
Food is plentiful and delicious. Great views over braidburn valley park and friendly staff
Fantastic hotel very friendly and helpful staff all very pleasent restaurant very nice food excellent. Beautiful outlook lovely seated outside area with beautiful views
Lovely hotel, great atmosphere, clean loos. We had afternoon tea and it was very tasty. 3 types of sandwich on different bread. A different savoury bite would have been good e.g. quiche, sausage roll. Scone with cream and jam, cake, macaron, cupcake and eclair - all lovely. We couldn't finish the f
The place is located in the calm area and is great for short and long stays. It has spacious car parking and a bus stop next to the hotel. So you can leave your car and explore Edinburgh by public transport. There is also a park next to the hotel where you can spent some time enjoying morning walk.
Staying in Hotel so thought we would try the Restaurant so glad we did as loved it we had the Burger and Lamb dishes followed by a crumble and custard totally stuffed 😁
It was ok I've had a lot better . Waitress got our order but manager rectified it quickly
Attended a freinds wedding πŸ’’ here and stayed a few days.atmosphere and surrounding were great. Very quiet and relaxed. Close enough to city center for facilities but away from the hustle and bustle. I'm a wheelchair user and was very pleased with how accessible everything was.all the staff were very
Nice food, service sometimes a little slow. Certainly not inexpensive.
We had a lovely festive lunch here. It was really nice how they did the Turkey, very enjoyable
Dinner was basic ok (the starter β€˜Grazer’ to share was really nice though). Young and relatively inexperienced staff who are doing their best.
The best meal out I've had in quite a long while. The staff were polite and helpful, the food looked and tasted great and as a bonus our table was near the window, so we had a nice view too.
Superb restaurant. A wide ranging menu, freshly cooked food, and friendly staff who go the extra mile to ensure guests are totally at ease and satisfied.
Particularly yummy sandwiches and home made macrons and tiny sponge cakes and profiteroles. Scones, however, a bit chewy staff very friendly and kind. Views to die for. Seating inside and out.
