Popped in for a quick coffee. Would’ve loved to have a bite to eat, but the kitchen was already closed.
Coffee and (freshly squeezed) juice were good. My daughter had the lemon poppy seed cake - she really enjoyed that and am sure she will order it again when we visit next time.
The building has
Visited here for lunch for the first time several weeks ago. Really cool old building and it was really nice to see all the old features have been retained. Staff were friendly and helpful. Great coffee. Great food. Reasonable prices. Good location to explore the National museum of Scotland and surr
Enjoyed a super potato rösti with salmon and hollandaise here today. Coffee was great! No complaints. The vibes here are lovely, original features which give it a calming old time vibe 😀
Excellent rosti (comes with eggs benedict, smoked salmon and greens) and scones at this place. Long black and flat white are quite good too.
Spent an hour here after a day of sight-seeing. The place was run by a group of ladies and were very welcoming. Lots of places to sit and drink your tea or eat your scones and pastries. The food was decent. Recommended for anyone who want to relax with a book/laptop or a place to rest their legs :)
I loved this place. The coffee was really good, and this is difficult in Edinburgh. Even we bought coffee beans to make in home.
We ask for a chocolate cake, it was great, really soft and delicious.
We definitely will go back for more.
They have brunch, so the next time we will go for these.
Tasty brunch, drinks mediocre at best (the average was dragged down because of the hot chocolate). Went for brunch with one of my girlfriends and was greeted with a cosy atmosphere and ample seating. Staff were kind, and our orders were brought out promptly. Wonderful location, right next to Bristo
Authentic ambiance with great old charm.
Welcoming staffs.
Nice beverages.

Lovely cafe in Edinburgh. It’s very close to the Greyfrairs The Bobby. We enjoyed the hot chocolate, cappuccino and brownie.
The hot chocolate was amazing and the brownie was out of the world 🤩
The indoor seating is quiet good and there is a lot of space. There are some nice cozy corners and the sof
Nice cafe in a great setting. Staff were friendly and food was delicious. The bacon, Brie and fig chutney sandwich was great and also huge. Well worth a stop off for lunch.
Don’t know about the brunch, I only go for the insane scones that this place produces. Freshly baked in the morning, they are still warm when they open. They are massive and delicious. First time I went the staff were so cool and friendly, and the second time I went there was a bit of a weird atmosp
Great place to enjoy a coffee in a silent atmosphere. The staff is friendly and tries to help me in every way. The cappuccino was tasty and I really loved the furniture and interiour. The meadows is right on the corner and you can just chill and relax here. The price is fair too and the portion big
Stopped in for a spot of tea and a light lunch on a chilly September day on a visit to Edinburgh. Lovely shop. Had a Moroccan soup that was honestly one of the best soups I’ve ever had!
Nice vibe, good food, great coffee. Good for brunch and people watching.
I ordered a breakfast tea with milk and a rosti (pictured). Seems like it's enjoyed by locals and tourists alike. They have teas, coffees, pastries, and real meals.
Best coffee I’ve had in quite a long time - so much so it compelled me to do a review! Beautiful coffee shop. Great opening times.
Great location when visiting the National History Museum. Quirky setting inside an old opticians. The sriracha eggs Benedict was delicious and good coffee too! Bit on the pricier side but overall decent experience.
Nice coffee shop serving a selection of coffees, teas and light food. Has a lot more seating than is apparent off the street. It looks really nice on the inside, I think it used to be an old opticians and they kept that feel. The staff was nice, the service was really quick and the teapot was pretty
