Really pleased with my experience at Gordon’s. The service was very quick and the food was even quicker. Really tasty and good quality food, priced very reasonably I would say as a student lol. The banoffee pie was by far the best dessert I think I’ve ever had! Had a good chat with the staff who were keen to help. Can’t understand the negative reviews at all! Some of the reviews mention sushi and curry which aren’t even served at this Italian! Will definitely be going back 😊
We were able to sit outside with our dog! The man who helped us was very friendly and social. The food was sooo good and omg... the Pizza Calzone wad massive! I had the Pasta Bolognese and it was wonderful. Perfect sizes and a good price. I haven't seen it inside, but it was very busy. I will eat here again when I am back in Edinburgh!
The food was great but not perfect. To be fair the waiters can be regarded as a bit ‘arrogant’ according to UK standards- where people are usually too kind. Atmosphere was quite stunning with the old town’s view:) Pesto tagliatelle recommended.
We had a delicious dinner here, I would recommend this place! The staff was very friendly and worked hard for their guests. The pizza was delicious, the pizza-base was fluffy in a very good way. The risotto was a bit fatty, but nonetheless very tasty!
Really enjoyable atmosphere and delicious pasta at Gordon's. We ordered the pasta of the day, and it was a good portion and very tasty. Nice vegetarian options available. We'd gladly come back here.

This place is flipping great and Willy is a legend......friendly, helpful and lots of advice for us tourists. We visited 3 times in our 6 day stay and will definitely be back and highly, highly recommend. Thank you so much for the excellent food and laughs 😃 ❤️
Great food and excellent service! We ordered Risotto frutti di mare and Lasagna al forno. Both were served very quickly and turned out delicious.
Delicious food and very friendly staff. Only downside was they forgot all about our appetisers which they did bring later on while we were having mains so the bruschetta got a bit soggy while waiting to be eaten :/. Regardless, Id definitely come here again!!
Wonderful restaurant in Edinburgh! We tried their food and I think it was an authentic and delicious Italian cuisine! Great service and atmosphere as well, the staff was helpful and informative to us. Really excellent!

Very nice place serving gfeat food (italian cuisine) , all dishes are great and thr risotto is perfect.
This place was great! Service was awesome at (late) lunch around 3:30 after a tour, and the pizza was pretty great. The Arancini were kinda unflavored and under seasoned, but it’s not like they are high brow grub and the dipping tomato sauce was good. Pizza was also good, pretty large given the price, and overall I would definitely go back here and try their other dishes.
We were here last week and have to say we had a great night! The food was lovely, the staff were great craic and looked after us so well! We laughed all night, such nice atmosphere, staff and food, we ate so well! So tasty!
This place is a real gem. The food was phenomenal. The service was super. They paid such attention to pur two young kids and even made their pizzas in a heart shape. The portions are very generous. It's a happy atmosphere but not so loud that you can't hear each other. We wish we where in Edinburgh longer because this place please our whole group from grandma to grandkids. We would have back here again and again.
Nice Italian place right on the royal mile. Is the food amazing - no, is it good enough- yes. We tried the pasta and make your own pizza which was good.
Wouldn’t recommend this place for celebrating anything, more of a regular Italian restaurant.
Excellent setting on the Royal Mile. We sat in the glorious sun and had lovely authentic Italian to fuel us up for the rest of the sightseeing. Great service too!
Great little find! Fancied Italian food tonight and walked past Gordon's Trattoria yesterday. We were warmly welcomed and seated promptly and instantly our server William made a fuss of the kids which made them feel comfortable and enjoy their time there. Both kids had tomato penne pasta (photo) with ice cream to follow and I had the ravioli with zucchini fritte (photo) followed by my all time favourite tiramisu (photo). Another great find especially if dining with children.
