Beautiful little vegan spot with the most gorgeous and exquisite pastries and bagels. I’ve been here several times and the coffee is great as well. Sometimes there are queues but that’s because it’s so popular !! If you’re looking for somewhere to get vegan treats, this is the spot.

Just go. Bring your friends. You will not be disappointed. There are SO many options and every single one is made with love and care. The owners are wonderful and deserve to see their business thrive! The kind of bakery that should be sold out by 11am. If you took a non-vegan here and didn't tell them, they wouldn't even know.

As a dedicated vegan & equally dedicated cake eater, I was very drawn to Black Rabbit and its stellar reviews. But after having shopped there — sitting alone in a park inhaling an insane chocolate cruffin AND a gigantic, fluffy, buttery cinnamon roll, just grinning with my eyes closed and whispering “oh my god” — I was sold on a whole other level. I did not expect this to be so! Insanely! Good! Hahaha. What a treat.

Great underrated Vegan cafe! Black rabbit has changed a lot! They now have seating available inside with two tables and a window seat. The “BLT’s” are delicious and their “Vegan Tofu Sausage Rolls” are incredible. The black croissants are also delicious and easily our favourite croissants. They also have one of the best Vegan cheeses I’ve ever tasted, no idea how they do it. We love going here even when it’s a little out of our way.

What a fabulous place!! An amazing selection of vegan pastries / cakes / sandwiches and other products to buy from the shelves / fridges too. I had a biscoff cruffin which was absolutely beaut - very generous amount of buttercream which is just what I like!

Great Lil vegan place that offers a variety of cakes, sandwiches and other items. I took the black charcoal croissant that was the best croissant I ate in a very long time. It was extremely soft and had a delicious filling inside. I also took their hazelnut pastry, which look like a lil cream puff, the sponge part was soft and the hazelnut cream was addicting. I also found their vegan Scottish cookies, chocolates and different kind of vegan fudge.

The Black Rabbit bagel is superb! Best vegan bacon I have ever had - juicy and good, not dry/chewy/ brittle! Really nice dirty chai too! Friendly service and chatty staff, warm atmosphere. Will recommend to all vegan friends. SO GOOD!

One of my favorite coffee shops in Edinburgh, just a great plus that it’s 100% vegan. One of the best oat lattes, so frothy and their cruffins are UNREAL. Always great service and dog friendly with treats for the pups!

Really great bakery! Four of us all got a sandwich each and we probably spent far too much, but there is so much choice! Plenty of baked stuff both sweet and savoury. No complaints from us. If you time it wrong you may have to wait a while for your order especially if you get in after four idiots have ordered too much food! (We are the aforementioned idiots) There is also a small selection of "cheeses", biscuits, snack crisps etc that you can buy here too. No seating but there is a park nearby which is perf for a picnic. Well worth making the trip to if you're in Edinburgh.

We stopped by for breakfast sandwiches and they were incredible! The Benedict Baguette was insanely good and the steak & blue cheese special was also delicious. The whole menu is vegan and I was so impressed by the extensive choice. Just be aware that it's takeaway only - there isn't any seating inside. We sat on a bench in The Meadows nearby to eat.
