Wow! What a restaurant ... possibly the best Chinese around fife and Edinburgh! The roast pork dumplings are superb I order about 6 every time we go. The food is simply amazing and the staff are so pleasent and welcoming. Would really recommend trying this restaurant but please don't be fooled by the way it looks... it's incredible

Wow! I walk past this restaurant quite a bit, and this past weekend finally decided to pop in to get some take-away. I ordered the pork fried rice -- the best fried rice I have ever had. And I know that's a bold statement, but it's true. Better than any fried rice that I had in Hong Kong or Japan (I know, fried rice isn't a Japanese dish, but you can still find incredible Chinese food in Tokyo). Seriously, if you're looking for good food, go here. Tomorrow I will be going for a proper sit down meal. If this review is still here, then assume that the meal was so good that I lost my mind and couldn't come back to update.

Took my own trip down memory lane recently to revisit this Edinburgh West end favourite. Used to be a post work haunt when I first arrived in Edinburgh in the 90s It has a real family run feel and lots of regulars, which is always a good sign in my book. We had a selection of dim sum, hot and sour soup and beautifully steamed haddock in garlic sauce, my companion enjoyed a spicy Szechuan beef dish. Wine was reasonably priced and green tea charmingly replenished. Food is freshly prepared and seems of a high standard but it is mostly the atmosphere and understated service that makes it one of those places you want to return to.

As wondrous as ever. Quality of quisine continues to be consistent over the decades that I have been a customer. Service, as ever, impeccable. Well worth a visit over Christmas as the street's festive illuminations are particularly atmospheric.

My wife and I read the reviews above and were confident enough to dine there on our 49th anniversary. We weren't disappointed and the 5 stars we give are thoroughly deserved.

Good value lunch menu. Lots of choice and delicious. Not many customers but that's their loss. Will be back soon.

A very traditional UK-style Chinese restaurant, quaintly retro in the fixed-priced lunch. This is served rapidly and offers great value for money.
