I use Abduls every weekend haven't had a bad one yet.
A very small Indian takeaway, nestled opposite the Hermitage, formerly known as the Morningside Glory, and has only just enough seats to cater for a handful of customers waiting on their food to be cooked.
The food is outrageously gorgeous, every time I go, I have a different curry with a different meat, and a different starter as well. My friend swears by the Lamb Korma, and I can't blame him. But for those after something with a bit more of a kick to it, the Vindaloo is fantastic. In fact, all of it is pretty great. The Fish Pakora for starters is a firm favourite of mine, but can sometimes be a bit too greasy.
The perfect mark is lost due to the fact that sometimes the person taking your order can get it wrong, which is a shame, even if it is a rarity.
Really great food, the guys there are so nice and even gave me a discount for no reason. Food was top notch and so was the service. They seemed really busy too, a constant stream of takeaway orders while I was waiting on my food.
I've been going to Abdul's for over 8 years, it's my favourite local Indian take away. The food is always tasty, portion sizes are good and the customer service is always with a smile, even during busy periods. Brilliant local takeaway. Have been getting food from Abduls for a few years now. It's always consistently good and the staff are friendly. Can't comment on delivery, but for collection it's always ready in less than 30 minutes.
Fantastic food great service always had good food from this take away. Good portion size and very good flavours. Spicy without being too hot unless the curry calls for lots of heat
Have been here several times as it is nearby. Very good value, and very tasty. We have mainly collected as we live close, they always say 20 mins, but it tends to be 10 mins after you arrive. Redeemed by good service, a comfy waiting area.
I have tried plenty takeaways in the local area and still return to this place. The best by far.
I recommend you try the chef special starter.
