Absolutely wonderful experience 10/10 recommend! Staff was wonderful, kind and helpful. The hotel is so beautiful and room was lovely and comfortable bed. Shower was hot, good water pressure, and beautiful. Breakfast was delicious with great service in the beautiful dinning room. Easy ride back into the heart of the city. We were here on our Honeymoon and the hotel staff wrote us a card and gave us a bottle of champagne. A very thoughtful and kind gesture. The staff let us use the baggage check service before and after our check in and check out due to flights.

I highly recommend The Scott Hotel in Edinburgh, located near Holyrood Park. This hotel offers a wonderful experience with its charming ambiance and exceptionally friendly staff. The location, just steps away from Holyrood Park, is perfect for those who want to explore the natural beauty of the area. The rooms are comfortable and well-appointed, providing a relaxing retreat after a day of sightseeing. The attention to detail and cleanliness is commendable. What truly makes The Scott Hotel stand out is the staff. They are warm, welcoming, and always ready to assist with a smile. Their hospitality adds a personal touch to your stay, making you feel right at home. Whether you're in Edinburgh for leisure or business, The Scott Hotel is an excellent choice for your accommodation. It's a true gem in this beautiful city, and I can't recommend it enough for a memorable stay.

Amazing staff, pristine rooms and building in a nice gated location that isn't far from the city but free from bustle. We got a nice spacious room that had a corner turret to sit in. Good essentials in the room including a Dyson temperature fan, smart TV, and grooming kit. Lots of privacy in room with every window including blinds. We had a free complimentary breakfast with every night we stayed. Served perfectly with options and a help yourself table. A trust bar is included and all the patrons and staff were inviting and kind. Beautiful and homely atmosphere.

We stayed here for 4 nights on a trip to Scotland, and it’s doubtless one of the most aesthetically pleasing hotels we’ve stayed at in the UK. The decor and architecture are gorgeous, and the “red room” is a delightful lounge to sit in on the ground floor and chat or read a book. This includes an honesty bar where you self-serve drinks and then notify reception of what you’ve consumed, so it can be added to your final bill. There is a price list and the staff regularly top up an ice bucket. The hotel staff were all very pleasant and accommodating, and one in particular (Norbert I believe his name was but can’t be certain) was fantastic and couldn’t do enough to make our stay as nice as possible. The room was a little on the small side for an executive double but the bed was comfortable and the shower room was lovely. The hotel is situated around 20-30 minutes walk from the main city centre attractions but Edinburgh has a very good bus service and there’s a stop right outside the hotel, so this wasn’t a problem. Also, Arthur’s Seat is situated right behind the hotel so if you stay here, be sure to head up there and grab an incredible view of the city. N.B. It’s probably worth mentioning that this hotel is situated on the University of Edinburgh grounds, as prior to visiting I read other reviews that were shocked by this.

It’s a very good hotel, in a very green environment. Dining room is very lovely. Breakfast is very delicious and rich in choices. Our room was also very clean and spacious with a big bathroom. Staff were very kind and helpful. They prepared breakfast boxes for us since we had to leave early for our highlands tour!! It’s a liitle bit far away form the city center but bus staion is too close, you can go anywhere easily by bus. Choosing this hotel made our holiday better:)

Gorgeous and unique hotel! We arrived ahead of check-in and the concierge was extremely nice and welcoming and kept our luggage in a locked room so we could enjoy the day before our room was ready. While the hotel is in a bit further away from the city centre, there is a bus stop right by the hotel and it’s easy to get around. You also get the plus of having Holyrood Park / Arthur’s Seat directly behind the hotel. The best part of the hotel to me was the moveable fan - that was an incredibly thoughtful touch, which was a game changer for sleeping for me as I always have one at home. We stayed in a couple other hotels while on our trip and The Scott was the best night of sleep I had in Scotland!

This was a great hotel – stayed mid-Junish…wish there was an elevator but that’s an unrealistic request…LOL…clean, spacious, traditional…but what sets this great hotel apart from others are the remarkable staff…the night staff person who first helped us (David) was extraordinary…he went way outta his way to accommodate my requests – outstanding customer service. But the real jewel of “The Scott” was a breakfast staff member named Shannon. She delivered world class customer service and made our stay simply remarkable. Great hotel, great people & say hi to Shannon. 😊

Lovely little hotel on the edge of the University of Edinburgh campus. While the rooms were small, they were cosy and had a nice selection of teas and coffees available. The staff were very friendly and the location was close enough from the city centre to be walkable and far enough to be peaceful. The free parking was a huge plus.

Stayed one night here and it was lovely. The room and hotel had been recently refurbished and it looked really creative/high-end. The room was a little cosy but was really nice and comfortable. The bathroom (no bath) was spacious and very nice. The building itself had plenty of character and was lovely. The only negatives... Parking - although free, the hotel is located within the university campus and parking near the hotel was limited. The room appeared to have a room/climate control but didn't matter what the temperature was set to - didn't work. But overall I'd highly recommend this hotel.

Smashing hotel. Not serving evening meals when we visited as short staffed, but great food bring served at sister hotel two minute walk away. A great breakfast to really set you is served though. Car chargers just outside, now that makes a really pleasant change, operated by Charge Scotland. Only gripe, room was tiny, but brilliant bathroom
