The Fishmarket - Edinburgh - Photo album

Battered oyster was tasty and fresh. The lobster was well-cooked and the fish & chips was among the best we had ever had. I was especially interested in the batter blend, which had very good texture and taste. We enjoyed the drinks and the apple crumble too. Will definitely visit again.
The staffs at the restaurant were so welcoming and friendly. It was a great experience from the start as we arrived at the restaurant at exactly 2.55 PM, which was our reserved time. We were fully satisfied with the service and the food. The fish & chips and oysters were especially delicious - I cou
This place is located right next to the Newhaven lighthouse. Brilliant atmosphere and one of the best fish and chips I've had in a long time. If you want a proper sit down lunch or dinner, you should book ahead. There were no tables available when we walked in at around sunset. However, they have a
We went on the off chance and were quickly given a table (two of us). The restaurant was very busy and short-staffed but our meal was delicious and served in good time. Hope to go back as it is excellent. Our waitress was Justina who was excellent and made us feel special even though we are not!
Waited for a good 15 minutes in the queue without an acknowledgement to then be asked if we made a reservation, which I didn't. They said they only had the bar available, which I said yes. When walking to the bar, there were loads of tables, empty, which were still empty when we left. Our server at
The Fishmarket is dockside with an updated yet rustic nautical feel; the atmosphere is inviting and well suited to enjoying a brew/ cocktail and elevated food fare without the high-end cost. Tables are well situated throughout the dine in area to promote a relaxed but cozy environment. Giant window
Very solid fish & chips right by the water on the pier at Newhaven. You have a choice between cod, haddock, and monkfish and we ended up getting the traditional cod with a side of mushy peas for takeout. There wasn't much of a queue when we went on a Monday so we got our order within 15min. The fish
IMHO, this was the best Fish and Chips restaurant in all of UK from North to South. Not only can you trust the source (the fishmonger next door supplies all of the seafood) but the attention and care of the service matched the underlying materials. We had IRN BRU ( of course ) in addition to our Had
Very nice atmosphere with a great view of the harbor. Friendly and attentive staff! The Old Fashioned was well balanced and the wine we had was delicate. The amount of mussels was amazing and the flavors were spot on. Also they were steamed to perfection! Langoustines were garlicky and nice!
Went here with my children. Great atmosphere, good service but could be a bit more attentive. the food is excellent but maybe a bit expensive. The cocktails were VERY yummy. It’s rare I give a 5, this is wore like a 4.5 but I’ll round up. Take a minute to walk along the waterfront when you go.
