Edinburgh is foodie heaven. Whenever you think you have tried all the best restaurants you discover a new one. We visited Rico's this evening for a friend's birthday. I was blown away. Incredibly stylish interior. Staff were lovely. Food was outstanding. The highlight for me was the courgette flower. Perfectly crisp and light with a citrus/chilli? note. I will definitely be back!

Went with friends for Christmas lunch. Beautiful restaurant. Staff helpful though the sommelier seemed unhappy but the rest of the team attentive. Had a wait between course but it was busy and worth the wait. We also after the food sat in the bar area for drinks. Would recommend the food flavour was stunning and we all enjoyed it very much. Service is added to the bill

Casual and cosy restaurant. Had a 3-course festive menu. Good value for money taking into account the central location as well. Unusual enough, my favourite of the night was the dessert. The caramelised apple had a lot of layers in just one cake-like apple tart. Wonderful taste, smell and texture.

This place feels like such a hidden gem. Incredible food & drinks, including the more formal tasting menus and also the bar service. Great selection of drinks but the main highlight is the incredible service - they are so attentive, friendly & knowledgeable. Will definitely be back :)

We had the set lunch menu, which was good value for money given the quality of the food. The service was superb and the staff were very engaging when serving the food. This is another gem by the same owners of The Broughton + Seafood Ristorante.

For this restaurant only being open a week, it is already running incredibly smoothly. Was no issues at all with me being gluten free and the gluten free bread they had was delicious. All the food was incredible, I mean gluten free tagliatelle how many restaurants go to that effort. The service was amazing, nothing was too much trouble. I'd highly recommend giving this place a try you will not be disappointed, make sure you go hungry as you'll most definitely want 3 courses. Drinks were superb as well, perfect for a special occasion or date night.

I went here for the first time last week. The food was excellent although perhaps a little pricey. The wines were very expensive. I did find the restaurant a bit dark and struggled to read the menu. As the restaurant hasn't been open long, some of the issues may be teething problems so I would try it again.

Wonderful Italian food with reasonable service. Because it was somewhat team service we were never sure which member was responsible for various aspects of the meal. But the food was excellent - especially the pappardelle.

Was treated to lunch here by my friend and had the best time ever. We went right at opening time so it was a bit empty for an hour or so, but the atmosphere was nice and the staff was exceptionally attentive. Ordered the cacio e pepe with the set lunch menu and was not disappointed, and I stole a lot of my friend’s burrata: genuinely the best burrata I’ve had in recent memory. Had a few daytime glasses of some great Prosecco and was presented with an adorable complimentary birthday dessert. I am planning to come back for dinner as soon as I can, and I would genuinely recommend Rico’s to anyone looking for elevated Italian in Edinburgh.
