Review The Wheatsheaf - Edith Weston

This is the 2nd time we have been here as a vegetarian it is difficult to find a place around Rutland that has options. Food is good, nothing out of the ordinary and reasonably priced. Staff is friend and has decent options for drinks.

Nice little find here, we visited mid afternoon and so there were few visitors at the time, hence the slightly low mark for atmosphere. Staff were lovely, good selection of wines and beers. The menu was pretty good and food was excellent, well presented, freshly cooked. Decent sized car park, easy access for all.

This is a very traditional English pub, not far from Rutland Water. The food was good and reasonably priced and the staff were very attentive. We really enjoyed our meal and drinks. A great stop off if you are in the area.

Food was pretty good. We had the sausage special and it was overall yummy. Cool building with some nice art. Service was just okay, but food was made well and came quickly.

Did a surprise stop having visited Rutland water. It's a really nice pub. We chose to sit under cover outside so can't really comment on the atmosphere inside. Wife had fresh water prawn sandwiches and I had steak and onion baguette. Wife loved the sandwich and I have to say I really enjoyed the baguette. Well priced and good quality. Lager for the wife and coke for the driver. A good experience. So if you're visiting Rutland water bear this one in mind. Don't know when but we'll be back!

The food was very nice and the people who I was with strongly agreed, the service was very friendly and helpful and it created a very nice cosy atmosphere to eat and socialise in, the venue was very well kept and the interior design was very wooden, stylish and interesting, with antlers, paintings and even a fire to sit next to that was surprisingly warm at the end. Strongly recommend :)

Fantastic food. Everyone in our group had 3 courses on father's day when they were really busy. Every dish was really well presented and great tasting.

I love the Wheatsheaf. My partner decided to spoil me - bless him. Began with a brilliant calamari starter with Steak, Stilton and Walnut salad main course. MmmMmmmm. Staff and chef were on top form as normal. Always a good vibe and fabulous food. Thank you Wheatsheaf. Xxx
