First time trying Mikado. It was truly wonderful. Very clean and well laid out restaurant. Staff was super friendly and fast. Very rare to see a Japanese restaurant with such a huge vegetarian menu. Food looked excellent and tasted even better. Lots of variety. This will become a new favorite place.

The Miso soup is to die for! Everything was tasty and seemed high quality. The esthetic was absolutely awesome! And they gave me ice cream for my birthday!!

I usually get sushi from here and always top class but today they were extremely busy with dine in and skip . so I think my $100 order was sacrificed by poor food quality . Hence we need more proper sushi restaurants in Edmonton . They use real crab and I love that but this time eating sushi with real crab was like eating a soggy sock ! Very tasteless . I really hope they can maintain the quality since service is brilliant.

WOW. EXCELLENT MENU.
I've never seen a restaurant include mushroom an on tempura mix! Very well done.
The sauce that comes with the beef yakiniku is sooo good I wish I could take more home.
The servers are all nice and friendly.
Portions matches the price.

A buddy and I went for lunch to one of my go-to sushi places for lunch. I have been to the Southside and downtown locations numerous times, but this was the first time to the Westend place. Although much smaller in size, it did not disappoint. Even better... it's close to the office!

Excellent sushi, fresh salmon sashimi. The best sushi I've ate in Edmonton. Staff was excellent and friendly. Would return again next time we're in town.

Really enjoyed our meals! We had friends come in from out of town and we took them here for dinner. Service was great as well! Thank you Mikado for being one of the best sushi places in town, regardless of the location!
Side note, we always ordered the green tea! Genuine Japanese green tea! You get a pot to share with whoever is at your table and you get charged a per/person rate but it's unlimited refills! Worth!

Always a pleasure to come here. Fast and friendly service. They always have their menu items. The establishment is clean and well kept. Food always comes out the way you expect - hot for cooked foods, fresh for cold foods.
