Ichiban has been a family favourite for years; best sushi in Edmonton. They are always consistent. Food is fresh and tasty, quick service, fair prices and very friendly staff. So happy they’re open for dine-in again, I love going in to eat. That being said, their takeout is still high quality and satisfied my sushi cravings throughout Covid. Cannot say enough good things about Ichiban.

I have been dining in and ordering takeout at Ichiban for almost 10 years, and its always been my favorite Japanese restaurant, and amongst my friends, with an excellent selection to choose from, consistently great quality food, always so delicious and satisfying, and a great staff and owner to welcome you. Highly recommended.

Have been here twice and both times the food was phenomenal. Good portions, decent amount of fish on the rolls instead of a thin slice you get at other places, and tasted so damn good love it!

Bizarre rolls and needless additions to simple items.
Can’t just get a basic salmon maki, there’s gotta be something else shoved into it.
Lot of sauces and dressings that don’t add anything and I’m just not a fan.

Service is great. We didn’t wait for our order long and sushi/maki were freshly done. Slices were big, rice soft, we really enjoyed our food. Tried Fanatasy - amazing!!! Price wise - cheaper than at other sushi places. Highly recommend to sushi lovers!

Waited 45 min for my table to be served and I had to wait an extra 15 min for my food. Food was extremely bland. Just terrible experience. You’re better off going to McDonald’s

BEST SUSHI IN TOWN!: I love SUSHI and I have tried several Sushi restaurants in Edmonton, and I can say that ICHIBAN is by far the BEST restaurant when it comes to FOOD QUALITY. Yes, the location is small, they don't have fancy plates or nice decoration, but I could care less about that when I know the sushi provided is of GOOD QUALITY. The fish is flown from Vancouver every 2 days and the prices are reasonable for the taste I get. I don't know what the reviewer フレ ひ was smoking when giving a 1 star review to this restaurant, but I guess everyone has their own opinion. I don't write reviews often but when a restaurant deserves a review I write one.

Service was excellent. Clean and tidy space. Seafood udon had a lot of shrimp, salmon, and red snapper pieces - it was steaming hot when it arrived. Toro sushi was absolutely delicious - melted in my mouth. Rolls were decent in size - ordered the lavalava (their most popular) and sunrise. Will definitely be back :)
