Review Jewel In The Crown Restaurant - Elford

Absolutely fantastic in all aspects!! Wonderful staff who greet you with a smile on arrival to a warm friendly farewell. Excellent food too and I have visited hundreds of Indian restaurants!!Had to take some home because the portions were very big. Staff elegantly dressed in typical costumes and restaurant spotless and well maintained. The best of all, however, was the amazing value. 57 quid for 2 mains, starter and side dishes and a big carafe of wine with poppadoms and sauces and a welcome liqueur to finish was just incredible. WILL definitely be back!!

Such a lovely place to dine. Recently went with family for our daughters 9th birthday… where they brought her out an ice cream and a special mock tail with a happy birthday straw and all the staff sang to her. One very happy little girl. Very attentive staff and the food is delicious. Definitely recommend.

Had a walk to find somewhere to eat while staying in the area and stumbled across The Jewel in the Crown. It has to be one of the best Indian meals I've ever had. I can't tell you how good it was in a review, but I would recommend you to try for yourself. The staff are all really friendly and can't do enough to make sure you're having a nice time. Even the owner came over to tell us how he started the business and about all the awards it has won. I know I will be back when I am in the area.

I had a meal here for a birthday celebration with a few friends and family. First of all the food was lovely, really fast service and everyone had their meals at the same time and we all really enjoyed it. The second thing was the service. The gentleman serving us asked what was the occasion, as soon as he discovered it was for a birthday, he quickly went and gathered the other waiters and sang happy birthday. We were then given a free desert and a huge glass of Bailey's. We were also offered free shots as well. The little touches really made this place stand out from all the other curry houses in Swindon. Thank you

Lovely place to come to eat. The food was really tasty and there were decent portions that left you full. The quality of the food was amazing and it was a nice touch to see some if it being warmed at the table to ensure it was perfectly heated. Prices were very reasonable and make you want to come again. The atmosphere was nice, the decor was bright and welcoming. The staff were attentive without constable coming to the table to check on you. I would definitely come back again.

The food is great, the service is even better, and the employees are charming. They may reject some european bank cards, but there is an ATM right across the street and they will even profusely tell you that you don't have to go there if you are only a little short on money. But you should, because they deserve the tip.

My partner was desperate for a curry so hunting down one whilst in Swindon. We went into a local pub originally however we were ignored as moved on to Jewel of the Crown. The staff were so friendly the menu extensive and the prices very fair. Azaz was super friendly could not have had a better night out

Went here for a birthday meal, it is a lovely curry house nicely decorated, the service was excellent, and the waiting time for food was very quick. Customer service was very good & we even had a happy birthday song sang to our table by the staff, including a happy birthday dessert & free shot of Baileys. Highly recommend.

The food was amazing! I've been to many places in Canada and a couple in the Swindon area... this was by far the best. We shared a lamb vindaloo (spicy) and a lamb korma.

Very pleasant experience, friendly staff, to start the popadums with the dips so tasty and clean, then I had a mixed grill, rice and chick peas, also garlic Naan, the hi light was the Masala Tsai, made with the real spices and no teabags.. I will visit again!
