Los Girasoles

I will give my Honest review of this restaurant... The family and I desided to go eat at a Mexican restaurant nearby as we were hungry from a business deal in Elgin. We desided to stop at this reataurant because someone recomended this place to us and so we did. When we arrived there were no people. We all sat down and they attended to us almost emedietly. We asked them to turn on the AC because it felt like 100 degrees in there. They told us that the AC was already on and that it felt hot because the kitchen was right there. We all ordered and when we began to get our food, there was a big misunderstanding and confusion because they got all of our orders wrong and mixed up. The kids didnt eat the food as it was so greasy and wet. We filled a cup full of grease and left it there on the table. The food for the adults was ok but greasy AF too. As I began to use the restroom I noticed that the toilet was not bolt to the ground and it moved all over the place while water leaked all over the floor. I hurried up and got out of that nasty bathroom as soon as I could. We couldnt stand the heat inside so we all hurried up and ate as fast as we could so that we could leave. We got to the register to pay for our food and there was a big confusion once again. They had overcharged us and wanted almost $200 dollars for that greasy food that they gave us. They gave us to go boxes full of food that they thought we ordered but we never ordered that. They charged us $10 dollars a drink, kids drinks, adult drinks, and they even charged us for the cup of grease that we made. I was a bit upset but I still payed for the bill and left a tip. I vowed to never come back to this restaurant. I think our family would of been better off going to a McDonald's with AC and we could of also saved some money. The money was not an issue as we had money to spend from the business that we did. The problem was everthing else that we experienced. Do yourselfs a favor and dont waste your time, and money on this restaurant. Try another place. Thank you for reading my review.

Ewwww just ewwww For starters the tortilla chips were hard and stale. No salsa to go with the chips then why give chips 😑 Horchata was not good. The place is tiny and super pricy the tacos were almost $3 each. The tacos de lengua were full of fat. The tacos de asada looked and tasted like gyros. The al pastor tacos were so sweet and not at all like I'm used too. This place was such a disappointment. I will never ever come here again. Save your money and time and go to taco bell it's probably better than this dump.

I was introduce to this small restaurant by my bother-in-law. The foods is authentic Mexican food and freshly made on the spot. I have been looking for a Mexican restaurant that was similar to my mother's cooking and this place offer what I was looking for. This place will beat any Mexican cuisine in the area, Los comales doesn't have anything on this place. If you are looking for good food this is the place !!!!

This place is TERRIBLE! It's 94° outside and they have no A/C. The lady took forever to come greet us then takes even longer to bring out our drinks which were just plain water. We finally ordered after waiting so long and while I was starving and waiting on my delicious torta, they said they didn't have the meat I wanted 20min after I ordered. I ended up just not eating. This was terrible service and just plain sucked. I do NOT reccomend!
