I Love this place. It has a great atmosphere and the staff is all very friendly and attentive. If anyone is looking for a good bar to crawl into in the Elgin area I highly recommend stopping at Vern's tavern.

Fun place. Strong drinks. The sea urchin drink kicked my butt. Had a black liquorice taste which i normally dont like but it wasn't bad.

Swankiest place along the Fox River. Perfect for a cocktail after a wedding rehearsal or just catching up with an old friend. Vern's Tavern is truly a magical place. All you have to do is sit back, relax and let the good times come to you.
