Review Elie Deli - Elie

Nick Higgins
Nice little shop with lots choices, the deli counter was nice with some Joe baking options. Friendly staff and a nice range of different items

The go to place in Elie for pastries, preserves and your day to day needs. Beer and alcohol sold too and teas and coffees available.

Fantastic site with loads of amenities.

Lovely staff and the choice of foods and cakes very nice indeed. Would recommend to anyone visiting Elie even only for a vets appointment when you live in North Lanarkshire.

Nice wee shop with normal supplies and special items. Cheeses, preserves baked goods, very nice. Bought some tomato chutney, spicier than I expected but very nice.

I never go to Elie without stopping at the deli. Fresh sandwiches with a baguette just out of the oven.

Called in for lunch. The staff were fantastic. Moving chairs about to accommodate us. The shop is wheelchair accessible. A tremendous amount of products available. I had home made lentil soup and a scotch egg which were lovely. We also had a filled baguette and coffee. All very nice

WOW! What a fantastic little deli. We where visitors to the village for the first time and were looking for some early lunch. We wandered in to see if it was the kind of place that would suit four of us. After stepping inside we quickly learnt that the food looked amazing behind the counter. We where then presented with the most welcoming staff i have come across. We sat down in the small but perfectly positioned seating area to await what was to come. It didn't disappoint any of us. The food was delicious, and the coffee was good to. I don't usually leave such a comprehensive feedback, but on this occasion i feel i must. But for all the great food and drink, it was ultimately the staff that made our visit. If i do visit this lovely little village again, i will be waiting outside this deli for it to open. Keep up the good work guys, its well worth the extra effort.

Very nice cafe but too dog friendly for me. There seemed to be more dogs than people however it won't stop me from going again.

Visited this cafe yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed it. Limited menu, but had the essentials such as soup, baked potatoes, toasted, cakes, etc and I liked that about it. Sometimes too much choice is not a good thing. Very pleasant staff and nice relaxed atmosphere. If you fancy a resonably priced snack or just a cuppa I definitely recommend a visit. I’ll definitely be back.

So this place is just lovely. I find the more mature female staff a bit arrogant when they served me but theres a young man working there and seen how I was spoke to and came right up and sorted things. This place gets 5 stars because of the service and the food is just lovely too. It has limited access at the moment as it is adjacent to a building that has a scaffolding erected on it (as of 06102020) no wheelchair access and is small inside. The staff however are helpful in that if you know what you want they will get the food for you. You can order big orders and leave and come back for them later. I have posted pictures of the shop front and pavement. Plenty car parking but it is a very busy place. I am a returning customer to elie deli.

Incredibly friendly and helpful and the selection for booze, basics and luxury food items is incredible. The Parello Olives are the best I've had. I wish I could move them 512 miles south.

Excellent ham salad roll and a nice traybake for my lunch today. Leave an extra 20 minutes or so as they only allow 4 in the shop at a time as a covid restriction. Nice coffee too!

"The good stuff" shop, very nice staff and they make coffee that will bring you back to life :) wide range of quality beverages if you want to treat yourself. Very good cheeses... Shop is not far from the beach, so you can grab few things and go for a picnic :)

Excellent! We are on holiday in the area and we made a bee line here on our first day to stock up. We timed it well as they were having a party to celebrate their re-opening in new premises following a fire. Lots of nice things to taste and lovely, friendly owners. Nice fresh bread every morning, and delicious home-made dishes, inc a fab marinated side of salmon, in addition to a good range of deli essentials, groceries and wines. We did practically all of our shopping between here and the nearby Ardross farm shop.

Cracking little place , coffee is poor though , had a latte and flat white on separate occasions and both just tasted like ordinary cheap coffee you’d make with water

Great shop! Bought filled baguettes for lunch today & they were lovely, no skimping on the fillings too! Great selection, friendly staff & if you're a gin fanatic- wow - amazing selection!

Visited yesterday cakes were excellent but really appreciated that my request for a slab of cheese on a plate was no trouble at all. That's customer service.

What a great place, we are so lucky to have the Deli in the village. Fresh bread and croissants every morning and the quiches are fantastic. Make sure you pop in and see for yourself.
