What a beautiful place (even on an overcast day). We had the sharing Mezze platter which was perfect as a light lunch for 2 & we managed to resist the temptations on the delicious dessert menu, though it was very hard! Friendly and polite staff provided a perfectly paced service. We also enjoyed watching the heron in the river. It is on my radar now and I will definitely be back. Thank you

A bit of a wait to be served but probably because we were a little early and they were setting up, however, it was a beautiful place we had a lovely short time there, and would recommend it to anyone.

This is such a beautiful pub!! Me and my partner had starters and Mains and both were fantastic, we sat with a view of the river and the garden. The staff were lovely. We've been back twice now and will definitely be going again!

Love this place. Stumbled across it 18 months on the way home from a weekend away. Beautiful surroundings. Great food, fabulous atmosphere. On the way home from another weekend away decided we needed to try the Mill again. Different season, but food just as good and offered smaller portions for those with smaller appetites. Christmas trees up and a lovely warm friendly atmosphere.

This was my first visit to The Mill, and my immediate impression was of the beautiful location, and next was friendly service. Though very busy, (it was a warm and sunny bank holiday Sunday), the staff were smiling and helpful, and our food order arrived more quickly than expected. My Sunday roast was properly cooked and delicious.

We came here for a family birthday meal and it's really a lovely place. The internal structure is beautiful and it's in such a lovely location too. The food itself is nice, though having had the burger it looked a little sad on the plate, could have done with some garnish to bulk it out a bit. Maybe a little overpriced but still a tasty meal. The service was quite slow, we were left waiting between starters, main and dessert for quite a while and even had to go and find someone at one point for another round of drinks. The staff were all very friendly and helpful when they did come to check on us.

I had the wonderful opportunity to work as a wedding photographer at this remarkable venue, and I must say, my experience was truly exceptional. The venue's captivating location, coupled with its dedicated staff, left an indelible impression on me. Throughout my time there, I found everyone to be incredibly friendly and remarkably helpful, which undoubtedly contributed to the overall success of the event. One aspect that truly stood out was the versatility of the space. We had the privilege of capturing stunning photographs both outdoors and indoors, each setting offering its unique charm. This flexibility allowed us to create a diverse portfolio of images that perfectly encapsulated the couple's special day. For those seeking an ideal location for an intimate wedding surrounded by close family and friends, this venue is an absolute gem. Its cozy ambiance and picturesque surroundings create an enchanting atmosphere that is simply perfect for such occasions. Without a doubt, I wholeheartedly recommend this venue to anyone in search of an unforgettable backdrop for their special day.

Lovely building and good staff, the only issue is their pricing - both the drinks and food are overpriced imo when compared to other local pubs; however, the location and scenery 'may' be worth it on a nice day so they still get 4 stars. Also, I think they're having staff issues with chefs as their food hasn't been as good the last few times we've been but I haven't marked them down on that as hopefully they'll sort it.

Lovely setting and absolutely excellent food. Ribeye steak cooked to perfection. Much room for improvement regarding service. Quite a few of the young staff need proper training. The initial waitress was great but when she went off the handover was non-existent. Had to find someone to get additional drinks and order the desserts, the order for which was taken wrongly. Shame. Could have sold more drinks with some attention to tables. Had to find someone to pay the bill too!! We appeared to be abandoned!

Lovely pub and restaurant in a very unique setting on the river. Perfect for sitting out in the garden on a sunny day and enjoying a pint and bite. The ducks are a hit with the kids and will also come and entertain you. The entrance is very quaint, feels like stepping back in time a few years 🤗

Booked our 10th wedding anniversary, and the team made our special day memorable. Mitch, Connor, and Charlotte made the evening memorable and set up everything to perfection. Couldn't ask for a better time. The crab burger brought back memories of our time in the Caribbean, which added to the moment. Also booked a Violinist Inna through encore who made the moment even more special and worked with the team. If you are looking for a location for a special day with a crew that will make the moment stress free and special look no further.

Before I placed a reservation I looked at the online reviews and thought I give it a try as we were in staying in the area for our anniversary. The food was excellent. My ribeye steak cooked well and chips crispy. Soup was lovely. The surroundings are beautiful, which at some pubs and take away the actual service. But the service and food was just as good as the surroundings. Staff welcoming aswell. Clean pub and toilets clean too. Well done everybody at "The Mill"

Always feels a treat to eat here, good food (we had steak), good service, lovely setting. We went on a quiet week day at lunch time so not crowded, but have been when it's very busy and have still enjoyed it.

Brilliant pub. We went for Sunday lunch and the staff were extremely welcoming, the food was incredible (especially the nut roast) and the mill at the entrance was great to see. There is also great outdoor seating, especially if you fancy having a drink overlooking the river.

We chose The Mill to celebrate our Golden Wedding Anniversary. Events Manager Lisa made sure that it was a very special day, tailoring her offer to our exact requirements. We hired the Cromwell Room and the adjoining sitting room – fortunate as it rained all day and we were mostly confined indoors. The food was outstanding. The service was excellent, efficient but not intrusive. Everyone had a wonderful time.

A lovely place and the food was delicious. However, think that there may have been staffing issues as 2 of our 4 main courses arrived nearly 10 minutes after the first 2. These things happen but a little apology would have been nice.

Nice place. Went with family for a meal. Was a little slow in bringing out food but it was nice food so didn't mind too much. Parking is rubbish and many people parked over 2 spaces which was a pain but inside it was lovely. Would recommend but don't go when there are selfish drivers who obviously learned how to park in a football field sized bit of tarmac.

I was recently the photographer of a beautiful autumn wedding at this venue ( David Bige Photography ) and I only can write a very positive review as I had a blast being there and cannot wait to return soon. From the friendliest staff working there to the warm and high-end finished decoration, it is a real pleasure to be in this venue. The food is also delicious! For couples planning their big day there here are a few ideas for ideal photos and a stress-free day: Plan multiple photoshoots around the sun. Early in the day, I would suggest having a walk to the bridge at the very start of the driveway. It's an amazing spot to take a hero image for your photo album. There are so many large trees to give soft light in the shadow so it's perfect during the day. Also, you can go around the other side by the river if it's not muddy walk on the grass under those beautiful large trees. It will frame the image very well to create some intimate moments. Later on the day during sunset have another walk at the front of the land so you can have the setting sun and the woodland as your backdrop. For your first dance make sure the dining room is cleared and the tables pushed on the side. This will create a nice space for you and also your photographer can take a few very special images from the upper gallery. After sunset, you can plan a sparkler exit just in front of the building.
